It finally came out on DVD. It is about the best musical ever! I must say I've never seen Rocky Horror tho.

Anyone else seen it? Thoughts?

I saw a preview/trailer for it, back in the day.

Paul Williams, right? Looked dreadful.

I liked that ska song that they did. I think it was called "Bitching in the Kitchen."

I need to see it again. They've been showing it on Fox Movie Channel and I've caught it about 1 1/2 times. I think I like the title track, the song where Brad duets with his evil twin and the whole "Denton, Denton you've got good intentions" refrain the best. I think I still like Rocky Horror better but (Little) Nell Campbell in Shock Treatment OMG HOTT...

The best movie musical ever is "Forbidden Zone".

Well, at least in this sort of context.

So, what's the Paul Williams thing?

(he wot did music for Bugsy Malone)

Found it!

Phantom of the Paradise!

OK, sleep again...

Yes, Forbidden Zone is actually the best...I love when the guy raps the alphabet, and the "Yiddish Charleston." Danny Elfman as the devil is pretty damn great. I wish Oingo Boingo kept sounding that good instead of singing crap political songs like "Only A Lad" and more songs like "Little Girls."

Shock Treatment has hottitude on the real, yum yum Janet and Brad II. Shock Treatment feels like the funnest and weirdest and somewhat scary hallocinogen. Totally nuts and great. My & the fiance duet on "Bitching in the Kitchen" all the time. Also the song that goes "You're not looking at the king of anything...you're looking at an ACE." I would love to cover that song if I had any musical talent at all.

The movie kind of reminds me of the underground scene of "A Boy and His Dog" where everyone is dressed up like Little House on the Prairie mimes from hell. But a 90 minute musical. So: awesome!
