Ed, if you make a mistake once, it's improv. If you make the same mistake twice, it's jamming.

It's going to be rather different from previous Shimuras gigs, due to the curtailment of the harmonies due to well, the Payne sisters being in India and Sande Memory Machine getting NODULES and being told by her doctor NOT TO SING. But we hope that the SPACEROCK and the free jazz element will make up for this.

Ah, the inside of the CD says that Greg plays guitar - maybe he was the one with the experimental facial hair? There were about a million of them onstage. I've no idea how they will fit on the Windmill's stage.

Ian Kontacte says he is coming on Saturday! Ooh, this scene is actually starting to celebrate itself. It is them that's playing at the new dronerock/shoegaze club on Friday - he says they are doing an experimental 30 minute song which sounds fantastiche.

I have just asked my colleague Nancy who comes from Vermont about Bennington. She told me that it is one of the prettiest villages in the state! And that Bennington College is one of the most expensive in the whole of the US and so nobody from Vermont can afford to go there!

These things are both true.

It's also incredibly economically depressed. There's this kind of veneer of posh hippie summer stuff, but the actual economy of the town and locals has gone to hell in a handbasket. :-(

It is unbelievably pretty, though. It's just like a picture postcard of a town. My mum frequently sends me these postcards and no one at work believes it's a real place.

Though we have to put everyone's "company" on the ligger list. But we can put yr company and look really impressive! But some of them we have to make up. I mean, so many of our friends work for really impressive looking companies (you, Plan B, etc.) but they are there as friends, not as "industry". (Shhhh, don't tell them that, or they will take our cheapie list away.)

Ah well, at least it's the secondarily hott DDB that has cancelled, and not that really hott one.
