nah way. sandler is grebt but he was never 'confrontational' and 'racial' but he was 'cute,' thats about all they have in common. lock thread im otm nothing more to say.

chaki, Friday, 2 March 2007 10:39 (eighteen years ago)

[leering sexist remark] I'd hit it [/leering sexist remark]

m coleman, Friday, 2 March 2007 11:04 (eighteen years ago)

ok but the ss show is getting way adam sandlerish. i thought the last episode was the best i've seen yet, and that's coz it wasn't pushing any of her pc buttonish stuff v. much at all (which sometimes is ok, but actually in her stage act tends to totally skeez me out) but instead it was silly-cute-awkward humor and c'mon the folksong thing she did was pure adam sandler.

also, her 'confrontational' stuff is just a variation on adam sandler's obnoxious un-grownup act, actually as is her "oooh... i'm so selfish" thing.

s.clover, Friday, 2 March 2007 11:09 (eighteen years ago)

better sandler than steinfeld amirite

m coleman, Friday, 2 March 2007 11:14 (eighteen years ago)

hahaha oh man that last SSP episode:

"A lesbian is a woman with a horn on its head that is magical"
"As a lesbian, I resent your laughter. And all laughter."
and all the Tab shit.

I really like that show. I missed last week's though, what was it about?

marmotwolof, Friday, 2 March 2007 12:20 (eighteen years ago)

no, bcz Silverman has made me laugh at least once.

Dr Morbius, Friday, 2 March 2007 14:27 (eighteen years ago)

last nights episode was horrible. first time i've seen this show. i agree with the adam sandler comparison.

modestmickey, Friday, 2 March 2007 14:34 (eighteen years ago)

I've seen her show a few times, and I can't get past her "I'm a bratty 15 y/o girl" schtick. It's tiresome. However, the cough syrup scene was pretty amusing. While watching it, my friend said, "Woah. She listens to a lot of Ween."

molly mummenschanz, Friday, 2 March 2007 14:36 (eighteen years ago)

She works hard for the laughs, which I like. Everytime I'm watching her and I start getting tired of her shtick, it's almost like she realizes it and one-ups herself.

Hurting 2, Friday, 2 March 2007 14:38 (eighteen years ago)

I am looking forward to the day she moves into attempting dramatical roles while using her position in the industry to produce quality comedy films by her infinitely funnier comic underlings (a la Sandler's current Spanglish-starring-in, Grandma's Boy-producing career model).

nickalicious, Friday, 2 March 2007 14:43 (eighteen years ago)

I thought the "face of AIDS"episode was agreeable. Also the two bearish gay guys, and the breaking into song.

Dr Morbius, Friday, 2 March 2007 14:43 (eighteen years ago)

Sandler seems nice and is occasionally funny

btw they are both Jewish

gabbneb, Friday, 2 March 2007 14:55 (eighteen years ago)

I've defended her a lot but she's starting to wear on me. Maybe I was just in the wrong mood.

Michael White, Friday, 2 March 2007 14:58 (eighteen years ago)

Guys, did you ever see the episode(s) of Star Trek: Voyager that she was in? A two-parter! Also starring Ed Begley Jr! As a douchebag!

nickalicious, Friday, 2 March 2007 15:15 (eighteen years ago)

Janeway, Chakotay, Tuvoc, and Paris in "late 20th century street clothes"!

nickalicious, Friday, 2 March 2007 15:16 (eighteen years ago)

Sarah is funny enough -- the line about resenting all laughter was killer -- but it's the gay neighbors that keep me coming back. Last week's 'bomb scare' was really funny in a really dumb way. Leftover Indian food for breakfast, indeed.

kenan, Friday, 2 March 2007 15:18 (eighteen years ago)

This last episode channeled the early John Waters in a very good way, ending with a 3-way crotch punching between Sarah, God (a stout fiftyish black Man she'd just slept with), and a bald kid with leukemia.

Dr Morbius, Thursday, 8 March 2007 19:44 (eighteen years ago)

wait... I thought it was on Thursday? How you get preview?

kenan, Thursday, 8 March 2007 19:51 (eighteen years ago)

the "joining a religious cult" skit on sandler's first CD is as good an uhh autopsy of bourgeuois america or whatever as anything i've heard from SS

gff, Thursday, 8 March 2007 19:59 (eighteen years ago)

^^^ kind of a lame thing to say but the skit is funny.

gff, Thursday, 8 March 2007 20:17 (eighteen years ago)

they showed the last episode last night instead of thursday, don't know if it's on tonight. I had to miss it because I'm following Top Design. Yeah, that's right.

dan selzer, Thursday, 8 March 2007 20:24 (eighteen years ago)

no shame in that game

kenan, Thursday, 8 March 2007 20:26 (eighteen years ago)

couldn't make it even 5 minutes thru her show :(

Jimmy The Mod Awaits The Return Of His Beloved, Thursday, 8 March 2007 20:51 (eighteen years ago)

This last episode channeled the early John Waters in a very good way

OTM, I thought that was the best ep of the whole series. Roffles also at
"Get that guy, he's VC!"
and
"Dispatch, we have a black male..."
"No, white female!"
"Sorry, force of habit."
and Black God turning the cops into Bugles.

It's on again tonight, kenan.

marmotwolof, Thursday, 8 March 2007 21:11 (eighteen years ago)

"Did you received a blood transfusion in the 80s?"
"Yes."
"You got a blood transfusion in the 80s?"
"Oh! I thought you said 'Haiti.'"

hahahahaha

poortheatre, Thursday, 8 March 2007 22:04 (eighteen years ago)

omg the bomb scare episode, insane roffles

HI DERE, Monday, 12 March 2007 03:26 (eighteen years ago)

Adam Sandler made me laugh. Often at him rather than with him, butI was still laughing.
Sarah Silverman does 'jokes' that I could win a staring contest with.

Windy G Moisture, Monday, 12 March 2007 03:41 (eighteen years ago)

x-post
Yeah, finally saw that one. Seen them all now. I want DVD.

"Who's Harriet Tubman?"
"Oh, she was like the first black bus driver or something."

marmotwolof, Monday, 12 March 2007 05:13 (eighteen years ago)

WHHAHT.

s1ocki, Monday, 12 March 2007 05:21 (eighteen years ago)

i saw this show today and it was awful! the only time i laughed was when she burst into the weather station, since it was just so ridiculous, but overall i was just sitting there mildly bored and horrified.

Maria, Tuesday, 20 March 2007 14:25 (eighteen years ago)

four months pass...

bored AND horrified, huh? now that's something to take note of.

Richard Wood Johnson, Tuesday, 31 July 2007 20:25 (eighteen years ago)

I like her, but there's something about the tone of the show that doesn't quite work. Even when the jokes are funny, they're delivered in a one-note way that detracts from them.

they' the worst photos of her i ever did see.

Not because they're "lewd", but because she looks like she has a "barge arse".

Drooone, Tuesday, 31 July 2007 22:04 (eighteen years ago)

"barge arse?"

Shakey Mo Collier, Tuesday, 31 July 2007 22:06 (eighteen years ago)

Sarah Silverman ties her dick between her legs whenever she wears pants - if you watch the MTV Music Video Awards, you can tell she forgot to do it that night.

why do you trhink she's married to that pussy Jimmy Kimble?

uhrrrrrrr10, Tuesday, 31 July 2007 22:07 (eighteen years ago)

I'd hit it

Mister Craig, Saturday, 2 February 2008 09:20 (seventeen years ago)

MATT DAMON

kingfish, Saturday, 2 February 2008 10:02 (seventeen years ago)

Comedian Jimmy Kimmel often says: "Our apologies to Matt Damon, we ran out of time" near the end of his ABC television show Jimmy Kimmel Live, a gag lampooning instances where shows cannot feature their last guest due to time constraints.

and what, Saturday, 2 February 2008 13:40 (seventeen years ago)

It’s the end of the road for Comedy Central’s The Sarah Silverman Program, which has been canceled after 3 seasons despite a Twitter campaign to save it.
