That cloned cat was called both on the radio this morning. Anyway, would you like the chance to bring back a deceased pet or do you think that having some kind of immortal trinket is a bit disturbing?

blimey in my day we used taxidermy like normal folks!!

cloning sheep = how can they tell?
cloning cats = haha no way ("But Rifflekins I never spewed up on my bedspread!!")

I think the reason I am having such a great day is that there are pics of KITTENS all over the newspapers. It seems that even if you clone a kitty it will not look like your poor deceased kitty as their fur patterns are not genetic but related to environment. See how educational Metro is?

I fear that my parents would be well up for cloning our cat who at 14 is definitely on her last legs.

Apparently kloned katz do not have the same markings (this is due to "events in the womb" apparently) so the whole thing is a big SWIZZ - I want another cat with a black smudge under its nose that makes it look like HITLER!

You could always draw a smudge on with photocopier toner.

if Metro was all that, it wd provide listings for events in the womb

Of course, genetically monkeying around with kittens is nothing new.

I really don't think my cat could be cloned, even if he was cloned I don't think there's any way another cat could be as totally mentalist as he is.

Nicole, Friday, 15 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

clone cat = still a cat => cloned cat = still a mentalist

Graham, Friday, 15 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

No, I think environmental conditions have a lot to do with it. My cat's first owner a complete hippy flake, I have a feeling this has much to do w/his mentalism.
