The stench of his already rotting flesh is drifting across the political scene and even Mandelson has turned on the formerly dear leader. This accusation of being two faced and conceding too much to the Republicans seems hardly anything against the background noise, but one wonders what job Mandelson is angling for when his time at the Commission is done (possibly just angling to remain a british commissioner once the guard changes in London).

It can't be long now; after yesterday he seems like a ceremonial trapping.
