Grandpont Genie, Thursday, 15 March 2007 11:39 (eighteen years ago)

You're on one today aren't ya?

the next grozart, Thursday, 15 March 2007 11:40 (eighteen years ago)

We've done this already. Many times.

I'm not being nasty or anything, Mark, but you might want to back slowly away from the Ask A New Question page.

Masonic Boom, Thursday, 15 March 2007 11:41 (eighteen years ago)

never, at least not til they ban me.

Grandpont Genie, Thursday, 15 March 2007 11:42 (eighteen years ago)

And edge towards the Search button.

London Parks

Masonic Boom, Thursday, 15 March 2007 11:46 (eighteen years ago)

you'd like it there.

srsly, I wouldn't.

Grandpont Genie, Thursday, 15 March 2007 11:46 (eighteen years ago)

Some London Parks even have their own threads
in face quite a few of them do.

Masonic Boom, Thursday, 15 March 2007 11:48 (eighteen years ago)

WE WOULD

Noodle Vague, Thursday, 15 March 2007 11:48 (eighteen years ago)

well it's never gonna happen mate, I don't believe in capitulating to uncouth bullies.

Grandpont Genie, Thursday, 15 March 2007 11:49 (eighteen years ago)

Mark, I'm hardly an uncouth bully, but six threads in one day *is* a bit much.

Masonic Boom, Thursday, 15 March 2007 11:50 (eighteen years ago)

hmmm. who makes the rules and why?

Grandpont Genie, Thursday, 15 March 2007 11:51 (eighteen years ago)

aspie nazis, mark.

That one guy that quit, Thursday, 15 March 2007 11:52 (eighteen years ago)

Who makes the Nazi's?

Mark E Smith on Thursday 15 March 2007 11:53 (whenevah)

Mark G, Thursday, 15 March 2007 11:54 (eighteen years ago)

Mark, I'm hardly an uncouth bully

What makes you think you're not?

Marcello Carlin, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:00 (eighteen years ago)

i think he means i'm the uncouth bully if by bully he means "calling him out for lame threads" and uncouth, i suppose, that for me quoting a st etienne lyric doesn't in itself justify a duplicate thread.

That one guy that quit, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:01 (eighteen years ago)

Seriously, though, leave it in the sandbox where it belongs.

Marcello Carlin, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:03 (eighteen years ago)

NUMBER of threads in one day is not a problem.

blueski, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:03 (eighteen years ago)

"lame" = subjective, shurely? I hardly know you so how am I supposed to know what yr interested in? and just coz yr *not* interested in something shouldn't lead you to disrupt the enjoyment of those who do (which is, I believe, in honour of Aesop, referred to as the 'dog in the manger' approach).

Grandpont Genie, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:04 (eighteen years ago)

EVEN IF I WAS INTERESTED IN LONDON PARKS WE HAVE DONE THIS BEFORE.

That one guy that quit, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:05 (eighteen years ago)

To be fair there are other threads on the subject and it might be a lot less hassle just to go to one of them and discuss the matter there rather than stretching out this entirely pointless "argument."

Marcello Carlin, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:14 (eighteen years ago)

so you've all got better memories about what's been asked before. Bully for you.

Grandpont Genie, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:15 (eighteen years ago)

you people are fascinating

sanskrit, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:18 (eighteen years ago)

OK mate, you've blown it with me now.

Marcello Carlin, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:19 (eighteen years ago)

To everyone else (including myself): it's nearly lunchtime. It's a nice day. Let's go out, take a nice walk and several deep breaths.

Marcello Carlin, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:20 (eighteen years ago)

Do you guys do this in conversations too?

"SHUT UP WE HAVE DISCUSSED THIS TOPIC BEFORE SO PLEASE CONSULT YOUR MEMORY OF THAT AND LEAVE ME ALONE"

What's wrong with making conversation?

braveclub, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:20 (eighteen years ago)

"SHUT UP WE HAVE DISCUSSED THIS TOPIC BEFORE SO PLEASE CONSULT YOUR MEMORY OF THAT AND LEAVE ME ALONE"

it doesn't actually come out of my mouth, but

tissp, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:21 (eighteen years ago)

ILx isn't really a "making conversation" sort of place.

Marcello Carlin, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:22 (eighteen years ago)

To everyone else (including myself): it's nearly lunchtime

the concept of time zones appears to have escaped him.

Grandpont Genie, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:23 (eighteen years ago)

Although maybe these occasional flare-ups act as necessary catharsis for all the pent-up resentment and annoyance. They work as a safety valve.

Marcello Carlin, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:23 (eighteen years ago)

oh for fucks sake if you want to make conversation, talk to someone.

SERVER SPACE IS IN JEOPARDY

That one guy that quit, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:23 (eighteen years ago)

I have no such pent up resentment.

Grandpont Genie, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:23 (eighteen years ago)

kudos

That one guy that quit, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:24 (eighteen years ago)

I'm sure I holidayed there once.

Grandpont Genie, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:24 (eighteen years ago)

oh for fucks sake if you want to make conversation, talk to someone.

WTF are the rest of you doing then?

braveclub, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:26 (eighteen years ago)

It's about the lack of basic social skills which makes people unable or unwilling to talk to other people in the same office.

Marcello Carlin, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:28 (eighteen years ago)

It's about the lack of basic social skills which makes people unable or unwilling to talk to other people in the same office.

I'm being lectured about social skills by Marcello Carlin! WTF

braveclub, Thursday, 15 March 2007 12:28 (eighteen years ago)

I talk to everyone in this office. Oddly enough, none of them ever tell me to:

stop talking about what I'm talking about coz we've talked about it before

go to another office and talk to the ppl there, instead

stop starting so many conversations in the same day

Naturally, I am musing on the reason why they fail to do these things. Maybe it is their lack of social skills.
