...is the best game ever. normal cricket is the dullest game ever. they should make normal cricket be beach cricket, then I could play for New Zealand.

What sports do you like to play with your pals on the weekend?

Im a weekend gardener, which is practically a sport in NZ. This weekend me and my pal built a rockery that looks like a minature ruined building - very effective. Gardening is really more a sprot than a sport.

I play 5 a-side football. Sometimes I score a lot of goals, sometimes I miss everytime. Lsat week I was put in goal...I managed to give away a penalty (handball outside the area, surely that should be a freekick?...cheats!) and pass the ball to the opposition! (I blamed the sun for getting in my eyes, laeding to me becoming temporaily disorientated) yay!

Beanbag Volleyball. Involves a large beanbag (the seating kind) and a clothes line. The beanbag is propelled across the clothesline. Fairly obvious really. Can result in wrist strain. Also, there is cross country boule where a number of obstacles are set up before the jack. Obstacles can include ponds, chickens, trees and members of one's family trying to sit in the sun. If you're adventurous you can incorporate the clothesline, for vertical boule.

what is circle jerks? I'd play if I knew what it was, though it sounds naughty.

Last night I played a game with no rules, involving a small nerf basketball. It's actually very difficult to do. You never know who's on your team, or which direction to kick/throw/pass.

this is kinda not what a circle jerk is... http://www.degerstrom.com/basketball/drills/showdrill.cgi? cat=passing&drill=014

Is beach cricket the same as French cricket? That's very good, although I doubt it is played much in France.

I like the 'bat-down' version of beach cricket, the batter hits the (tennis) ball and if not caught out then s/he puts the bat down and fielder has to hit the bat wif the ball from the point where they catch it.

The reason I love beach cricket so much is because you can muck about in the little waves while you are fielding and it doesnt hurt to fall in the sand to catch the ball, you can practise walking on your hands and have a swim at any point during the game.

another crucial thing about beach cricket is that you don't really keep score as such, you just make comments like: wa-hey, good hit, Pal! or, nice backflip! every now and again and you don't really have teams or anything, just turns at bat.
