British on American TV:
Bumbling, intelligent, EVIL, jovial/smiley

I thought the teeth thing was more about pop stars and actors than ordinary people. I got the impression that if you wanted to make it in Hollywood then it was taken for granted that you had to spend money to get perfect teeth first (plus whatever other cosmetic surgery is in vogue), whereas that's obviously not the case to get a job on Eastenders. So Americans are more used to being bombarded with this on their screens:
