I heard this story that some British guy in the nineteenth century said that you could tell where the garden of Eden was by the "relative perfection" of peoples, in that more "perfect" people lived closer to the garden, and as people got further and further away they declined in quality. He decided that the garden of Eden must have been in the Caucasus because Georgian women were clearly the most beautiful of all peoples, and that is also the origin of the term Caucasian. (Wikipedia says about half this story is true.)

I knew this guy at uni who wondered whether the fact that ppl from different countries look different facially has less to do with genetics (which is unlikely, given how much mixing has taken place over the centuries) and more to do with the different languages ppl speak. His theory was that ppl contort their mouths in different ways depending on the language they grow up speaking and this actually affects the shape of the face.

Personally I don't think it's a major factor at all since there's more than enough slim British women. The difference is in the construction of the face. Eastern European women just have better features.
