somehow non-full weeks can sometimes feel longer than full weeks because you're sort of dawdling and waiting for the weekend. instead of accpeting the slog.

the next grozart, Thursday, 5 April 2007 13:51 (eighteen years ago)

last day of term feel in the air. Where are the games?!

Vicky, Thursday, 5 April 2007 14:11 (eighteen years ago)

Oh would I ever agree to this. Alas. (Still, it's conditional -- this is the last big work crunch until September, really.)

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 5 April 2007 14:11 (eighteen years ago)

OTM. week nr. 2 so much longer than wk nr. 1. it only gets worse, doesn't it?

modestmickey, Thursday, 5 April 2007 14:12 (eighteen years ago)

I am at home. Working in the sun. This chair is uncomfortable though.

the next grozart, Thursday, 5 April 2007 14:30 (eighteen years ago)

BLENDER BOOZE MILKSHAKE!!!

Masonic Boom, Thursday, 5 April 2007 15:34 (eighteen years ago)

That was the wrong thread entirely.

Ed, Thursday, 5 April 2007 15:36 (eighteen years ago)

Is there ever one 'right' thread when wishing you were just simply not at work, I ask you?

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 5 April 2007 15:37 (eighteen years ago)

All threads are one now.

Masonic Boom, Thursday, 5 April 2007 15:37 (eighteen years ago)

hope not

blueski, Thursday, 5 April 2007 15:40 (eighteen years ago)

Should I go to the pub with workmates or go home to the missus? Hmm. Bearing in mind I'll be at home with the missus all weekend.

Colonel Poo, Thursday, 5 April 2007 15:41 (eighteen years ago)

you've answered your own question there

blueski, Thursday, 5 April 2007 15:44 (eighteen years ago)

can you not go to the pub and give your missus an invite to join?

Ms Misery, Thursday, 5 April 2007 15:47 (eighteen years ago)

on the money money moooney

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Thursday, 5 April 2007 15:50 (eighteen years ago)

...moooooooooooneeey

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Thursday, 5 April 2007 15:50 (eighteen years ago)

>> can you not go to the pub and give your missus an invite to join?

Believe me, I'd be more than happy to do that, but she won't come. Apart from the fact she works about 10 miles away, she hates pubs.

Colonel Poo, Thursday, 5 April 2007 15:53 (eighteen years ago)

her loss then, at least an offer is thoughtful

Ms Misery, Thursday, 5 April 2007 15:54 (eighteen years ago)

Yeah I've kind of given up asking now though!

Colonel Poo, Thursday, 5 April 2007 15:55 (eighteen years ago)

not to speak ill of your wife but hating pubs is nuts.

Ms Misery, Thursday, 5 April 2007 15:55 (eighteen years ago)

She doesn't like drinking, so she just gets bored.

Colonel Poo, Thursday, 5 April 2007 15:58 (eighteen years ago)

I can go home NOW!!!

the next grozart, Thursday, 5 April 2007 15:58 (eighteen years ago)

Let us not forget why many of you are enjoying a short work week... http://www.memphisflyer.com/binary/106a/bring%20me%20that%20ass.jpg
(this is completely for reals, btw)
OTOH I, despite residing and working in the buckle of the Bible Belt, don't get Good Friday off.

so would "bring me that ass" be in red in the King James ed.?

will, Thursday, 5 April 2007 16:05 (eighteen years ago)

Colleagues have gone down the pub! Leaving imminent as soon as I finish setting up new users and put my out of office on!

(Yes, I know this is the time that normal people normally leave work, but I usually have to work late as I get in late.)

Masonic Boom, Thursday, 5 April 2007 16:13 (eighteen years ago)

Because I am going away TOMORROW I have this OMG MUST STAY IN ALL NIGHT FINISHING STUFF feeling... but I am only going to be away for one day of work time... so maybe I should blow this joint.

The Real Dirty Vicar, Thursday, 5 April 2007 16:48 (eighteen years ago)

An email from the (university) President:

There have been numerous inquiries as to whether the Governor will declare April 6, Good Friday, as a holiday. At this time, there has been no notification that the Governor will close state offices in observance of Good Friday.

I'm going to try and corrupt some co-workers to bump off early and go drink anyway.

Ms Misery, Thursday, 5 April 2007 16:54 (eighteen years ago)

Free for a week plus! Hoorah!!

jel --, Thursday, 5 April 2007 16:54 (eighteen years ago)
