latebloomer, Friday, 13 April 2007 06:02 (eighteen years ago)

Yeah, it took Elevator Action guy like thirty seconds to come down off that rope.

This is really cool but I mean...you could just get an emulator

31g, Friday, 13 April 2007 06:41 (eighteen years ago)

yeah I've got MAME ROMs for a lot of these too but it amused me to be able to play them online for some reason. I had some minor glitchiness but it didn't stop me from getting to level 6 of mario bros on 1 guy. I played that so much in college it's now part of my dna, my kids can probably kick ass on it out of the box.

plus there's some weird stuff on that site, like who knew there was a MAD MAX video game? not me. (game sucks, but still, MAD MAX!)

haha that's normal!

This is definitely the best-playing Nintendo emulator I've tried by far. Plus it feels strange to be playing all these games again that I played when I was 10 or 11 years old - therapeutic in a way, but I also feel a bit regressive.

My favorites were odd ones: Commando, Worldrunner, RC Pro-Am, even Jaws which is kind of a shit game, honestly.

ok this = awesomes

HI DERE, Friday, 20 April 2007 17:21 (eighteen years ago)

YAY! Now I can play Zelda all afternoon. When I was little I played it so much that my Mom took away the entire Nintendo and hid it in a cupboard. I found it and would hook it up and play when my parents weren't home. One day she came home early and caught me. She then proceeded to take the whole machine out on the dek and SMASH IT TO PIECES WITH A HAMMER. I have never played Zelda since - until today. YAY!

ps - If I get fired, I'm blaming Edward.

Edward III, Saturday, 21 April 2007 01:12 (eighteen years ago)

Unlikely. He's not as crazy as my moms.

ENBB, Saturday, 21 April 2007 01:18 (eighteen years ago)

You guys have seriously never used emulators before???

Mr. Snrub, Saturday, 21 April 2007 13:26 (eighteen years ago)

The Konami code works!

Hurting 2, Tuesday, 24 April 2007 14:05 (eighteen years ago)

Also, man there were some weird Nintendo games. I spent about ten minutes trying to figure out what I was supposed to be doing in Dirty Harry - going into all these rooms and alleys and shooting and punching people without getting anywhere.

Then last night I tried Wall Street Kid, a game that consists of buying and selling stocks and then killing time by either working out or going on a date.

Hurting 2, Tuesday, 24 April 2007 14:07 (eighteen years ago)

if you combined the two you'd have the "american psycho" video game.

Edward III, Tuesday, 24 April 2007 14:30 (eighteen years ago)

AHHHH I forgot about Wall Street Kid!

Of course I've used emulators, but who wants a bunch of shit on your computer when you can just go to a website?
