predictably, ytmnd has a lot of "look at this wacky photograph" loops, but nothing like the one you described. if it doesn't exist already, someone like ZS should get to work on it asap.

There was a book I had when I was a kid, it was british in origin, and it was all big illustrated, annotated imaginary contraptions invented by kids for such as:
- being a terrible student (some kind of massive exoskeleton / mechanical turk thing that shot spitballs, did homework, stuck gum on the bottom of desks, etc)
- cheating at football (this was a cross section of a pitch with bits for tilting the field, moving the goal, gassing the visiting team's locker, and an escape tunnel just in case all went wrong)
- annoying your entire town (a gigantic roving fortress with special attachments for ruining gardens, breaking chimney pots, frightening pets, etc)

I cannot find it for the life of me. I recall it quite fondly and just want to remember who the hell wrote it and what it was called.

I wish the old Albania thread with pictures intact had somehow been archived. That thread was maybe the funniest thing ever posted on the site. The pictures were hilarious, I remember laughing until I cried.
