kingfish, Thursday, 19 April 2007 17:10 (eighteen years ago)

Yeah, we had hail for more than one day, AFTER the snow too, adding injury to insult :/

Will M., Thursday, 19 April 2007 17:11 (eighteen years ago)

Jibe, Thursday, 19 April 2007 17:12 (eighteen years ago)

It's Toronto's first sunny day for a long time, too. Thank God. I cannot deal with these 6-month winters.

franny glass, Thursday, 19 April 2007 17:14 (eighteen years ago)

Are you Canada native, Franny? Because I am well used to this November to April nonsense sadly :( but I grew up on Lake Huron, then in Ottawa. So I know snow and I know cold.

Will M., Thursday, 19 April 2007 17:15 (eighteen years ago)

rrrobyn, Thursday, 19 April 2007 17:29 (eighteen years ago)

today is the first day i didn't have to wear a toque outside in the morning! the sun is actually WARM!
i am hesistant to fully celebrate, as the memory of snow and freezing wind is so fresh, but damn, pretty happy

rrrobyn, Thursday, 19 April 2007 17:31 (eighteen years ago)

It is cold and raining here today. Yesterday it was sunny & in the 60s, I had a mow.

nickalicious, Thursday, 19 April 2007 17:44 (eighteen years ago)

I also thought this would be a thread welcoming Sunny back. (perhaps she's been back but I've only seen her once or twice since Beeps arrived.)

in the 80s here. sweatin' time. but it looks nice from inside.

Ms Misery, Thursday, 19 April 2007 17:58 (eighteen years ago)

chicago kevin, Thursday, 19 April 2007 18:30 (eighteen years ago)

Those are both kinda grim choices. Death by ski accident vs. permanent vegetative state.

kenan, Thursday, 19 April 2007 18:34 (eighteen years ago)

DAMN IT KENAN IT'S SUNNY SHUT UP

David R., Thursday, 19 April 2007 18:35 (eighteen years ago)

joan rivers had a joke 25 years ago about claus von beulow's favorite song being "when sunny turns blue".

chicago kevin, Thursday, 19 April 2007 18:35 (eighteen years ago)

xpost without darkness there can be no light

kenan, Thursday, 19 April 2007 18:36 (eighteen years ago)

OMG IT'S SUNNY

StanM, Thursday, 19 April 2007 19:03 (eighteen years ago)

Are you Canada native, Franny?

Nope, I'm a kiwi. Been here over 2 years now, but don't expect I'll ever get used to the goddam MONTHS of snow-and-ice nonsense. The novelty wore off pretty fucking quickly.

This response may have been informed by the fact that I am exceptionally homesick today.

franny glass, Thursday, 19 April 2007 19:07 (eighteen years ago)

hey, sam! beeps is good. she started daycare AND started smiling this week. coincidence? ive been exploiting her image on the parenting thread.

i was thinking just yesterday that i must have reverse SAD. long days of sunshine really wear thin for me. real depressing by about 4pm.

sunny successor, Thursday, 19 April 2007 19:15 (eighteen years ago)

and i really should have my own thread by now

it's so pretty!

tehresa, Thursday, 19 April 2007 22:43 (eighteen years ago)

My skin gets tan the moment I step outside for 15 minutes, which I used to heavily resist with sunscreen. NOW that I'm in NM I just decided to give up on it & tan in the bikini to avoid farmer's tan. That was working out okay until a bunch of creepy old guys in the neighbs figured this out and kind of walked back & forth in front of my residence to get peeks of me lying around behind the house. So I am DOOMED to hideous tanlines, thx very much creeps.
