You know how you get websites such as this that can run a internet registry lookup for you and tell you what company or individual a website domain is registered to? Well, what I need to know is can you do this the other way around? ie. can I get a list of all the domains that a company has registered?

Come on, you know you want to help me.

There might be something here http://www.companies-house.gov.uk/

the whois command used to do this (i.e. search on people's names etc), but now there are more than one domain registrars it doesn't. hmmm

Our new product can do this for you but it costs lots of money.

Actiually it can't do it exactly but it can do it a bit. In summary , it's not that good. There's no way of doing it really because of all the various registries, particularly cctld's (i.e. not .com/.net or .org).

I'm just talking about the UK. I've put the person who needs to know in touch with Nominet to see if they can help.

There's a link to nominet on the companies house website but that's not really what you're looking for

the address posted above is incorrect by the way, the correct address is www.companieshouse.gov.uk

Bugger off Pete. I refuse to be victimised again on the basis of copy and paste.

Anna, Wednesday, 20 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

We victimised you last week on even less grounds I believe. Oh okay, I'll get back to having a go at sex tourist and tax evader Cabbage instead.

Sorry, I know nothing about computers.
