I flicked onto this on cable last week expecting nothing and was gripped. You'd never have thought it. Schwimmer was like a young Dustin Hoffman, the story was wonderfully paced and there were some startling good, odd and honest scenes. A little gem of a film.

Has anyone else seen it?

Oh alright then, yes.

No. My condolences on a failed thread, Nickl.

Its seems that whilst Nick removes letters from his name, I add them. All aboard the Spazchariot...

Funnily enough, that's one of the names my dad calls me. Though I expect if he were to write it down there'd be an e in there somewhere.

It really is a very good film.

Your dad calls you Spazchariot? That's not very nice.

Emma, Thursday, 21 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

No, it's another example of the his arbitrarily wielded tyranny. Still, it keeps me in check.

N., Thursday, 21 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

But what if I am your dad? Does he have a beard? That's a fairly easy way of working this out.

alix, Thursday, 21 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

That's clammed him up.

Peter Miller, Thursday, 21 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

But anyway, the Pallbearer - great film.

him & kudrow never got the careers they deserved

and what, Tuesday, 11 September 2007 14:43 (eighteen years ago)

i met him yesterday. he was a real mensch.

he was really good in band of brothers. we talked about it.

yeah but then Schwimmer is the only one who hasn't had an awful and/or cancelled post-Friends series, so he's probably being smart by sitting back and collecting syndication $$ and could probably come back as a respectable middle-aged character actor at some point. Kudrow's done alright, I was always surprised she hasn't been cast in more ensemble comedies, she'd probably fit in well in a Christopher Guest or Judd Apatow movie. (xpost, s1ocki, what's Schwimmer promoting? I don't see anything newish on IMDb, but he does a lot of stage work now, right?)

I watched this movie a while back, it was decent. Bitty Schram is in it, and I will take any opportunity to say/type her name.

oh weird, I had no idea he directed that, didn't see any prominent mention of him in the trailer. he's directed...a couple episodes of "Joey," so that's something.

Schwimmer did a Neil LaBute play in London, and was in The Caine-Mutiny Court Marshall on Broadway last year. I liked him on those Curb episodes.

Jeffrey Moore: What? Did you say something?

Kyle: It's not fair! It's all grownup questions.

Jeffrey Moore: Oh, it's not fair! Well, boo hoo hoo! What are you going to do, tell your Mommy? Okay.. here's one about a Walt Disney movie... Okay, Kyle, are you happy? "In the Walt Disney movie 'Aladdin', Aladdin falls in love with a beautiful princess. What is the name.."

Samantha: [ buzzes in ] Princess Jasmine!

Jeffrey Moore: You want to let me finish? Would you let me finish the question?! "What is the name of the CEO of the Walt Disney company?"

Dale: [ buzzes in ] Michael Eisner?

Jeffrey Moore: That's right! [ grownups cheer, kids cry ]
