HI DERE, Wednesday, 25 April 2007 20:34 (eighteen years ago)

I like how you put "POLL" in your thread title.

Ms Misery, Wednesday, 25 April 2007 20:37 (eighteen years ago)

This poll should really be in Yen.

admrl, Wednesday, 25 April 2007 20:40 (eighteen years ago)

remember, no lying!

river wolf, Wednesday, 25 April 2007 20:43 (eighteen years ago)

I saw Say Fuck to China during their first U.S. tour! They covered "Bizarre Love Triangle", then the chick bass player started to deliberately break her strings during the solos.

kingfish, Wednesday, 25 April 2007 20:47 (eighteen years ago)

I never know whether this means pre- or post-tax.

bernard snowy, Wednesday, 25 April 2007 20:48 (eighteen years ago)

Send me money.

Oilyrags, Wednesday, 25 April 2007 21:24 (eighteen years ago)

This had better not be stealth market research

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 25 April 2007 22:09 (eighteen years ago)

If psychology is any guide, everybody's answer should be 'not quite enough'.

Michael White, Wednesday, 25 April 2007 22:11 (eighteen years ago)

I guess psychology fails because my answer is "nowhere near enough"

Will M., Wednesday, 25 April 2007 22:15 (eighteen years ago)

Will M. on the nowhere near enough money.

Oilyrags, Wednesday, 25 April 2007 22:16 (eighteen years ago)

giz a job, go on

Roberto Spiralli, Wednesday, 25 April 2007 22:17 (eighteen years ago)

the difference between 25,000 and 45,000 is hueg, harvard grad!

deej, Wednesday, 25 April 2007 22:18 (eighteen years ago)

Wah wah, so everyone will assume you make $45K!

HI DERE, Wednesday, 25 April 2007 22:20 (eighteen years ago)

I live off Mrs. Trifle.

Ned Trifle II, Thursday, 26 April 2007 08:47 (eighteen years ago)

Thanx to current exchange rates all UK ilxors are TWICE AS LOADED as our US cousins. Sadly everything over here costs twice as much too.

ledge, Thursday, 26 April 2007 09:10 (eighteen years ago)

How much is 'gas' in the US now? I just paid 94p a litre - it seems to have crept up again.

Ned Trifle II, Thursday, 26 April 2007 09:13 (eighteen years ago)

Yeah, what's the exchange rate again? How rich am I in US terms?

Masonic Boom, Thursday, 26 April 2007 10:01 (eighteen years ago)

almost exactly $2:£1

Mark C, Thursday, 26 April 2007 10:01 (eighteen years ago)

I'm not the main breadwinner in our household, I fear this will skew the results.

Noodle Vague, Thursday, 26 April 2007 10:03 (eighteen years ago)

How much is 'gas' in the US now?

You have to pay to fart?

nathalie, Thursday, 26 April 2007 11:54 (eighteen years ago)

It's exactly 2:1 no matter where you round from! And no matter from round where you at.

Tracer Hand, Thursday, 26 April 2007 12:16 (eighteen years ago)

Gasoline is running close to $3 a gallon. Not sure how many liters that is.

Ms Misery, Thursday, 26 April 2007 13:28 (eighteen years ago)

it's been well over $3/gallon in california for quite a while; hitting $4 soon

akm, Thursday, 26 April 2007 14:05 (eighteen years ago)

I bet you guys have fancy willie gas or something.

Ms Misery, Thursday, 26 April 2007 14:07 (eighteen years ago)

"willie gas"? DO NOT WANT

HI DERE, Thursday, 26 April 2007 14:08 (eighteen years ago)

it's made out of french fry oil! (or maybe corn)

Ms Misery, Thursday, 26 April 2007 14:09 (eighteen years ago)

94p/litre = $7.11/US gallon.

Michael Jones, Thursday, 26 April 2007 14:11 (eighteen years ago)

Good thing you guys have reliable public transport!

Ms Misery, Thursday, 26 April 2007 14:11 (eighteen years ago)

i wish our gas was 7 bucks a gallon that would rule

Mr. Que, Thursday, 26 April 2007 14:12 (eighteen years ago)

In Texas you get a free gallon of gas with every gun purchase. And it's chunky gas too, the kind with bits of fossils floating in it.

Ms Misery, Thursday, 26 April 2007 14:13 (eighteen years ago)

In New York you get a free slice of pizza any time you make that one rude Italian hand gesture.

nabisco, Thursday, 26 April 2007 15:07 (eighteen years ago)

In Soviet Russia,

Mark G, Thursday, 26 April 2007 15:08 (eighteen years ago)

you make your own gasoline?

Ms Misery, Thursday, 26 April 2007 15:09 (eighteen years ago)

the difference between 25,000 and 45,000 is hueg, harvard grad!

Had the same thought. Don't want to affiliate myself with Richie Riches who make over 40K.

jaymc, Thursday, 26 April 2007 15:14 (eighteen years ago)

I was told recently that I once got drunk (a little over a year ago) and ranted about how nobody should make more than $30,000 a year. I have no memory of this at all. (The same night I threw a beer at a friend of mine because she was trying to set up a friend of hers with a mutual friend of ours, even though I had a crush on her friend and thought I deserved to be set up instead. That part I do remember.)

jaymc, Thursday, 26 April 2007 15:17 (eighteen years ago)

Gasoline is $3.25 for regular at the place by the highway, but Oregon adds a coupla surcharges.

kingfish, Thursday, 26 April 2007 15:35 (eighteen years ago)

Still cheap by SF standards. The local Chevron is selling 87 octane at someting like $3.75 and 92 is almost 4 bucks.

Michael White, Thursday, 26 April 2007 15:42 (eighteen years ago)

Under $3 here

Jordan, Thursday, 26 April 2007 15:43 (eighteen years ago)

Regular unleaded petrol in the UK is 95 octane, and super unleaded is 97.

Mark C, Thursday, 26 April 2007 15:44 (eighteen years ago)

More expensive to refine but cleaner to burn.

I don't make much, but I was able to buy a house for $70K. It's all relative to the cost-of-living.

Pleasant Plains, Thursday, 26 April 2007 17:23 (eighteen years ago)

Nice market research poll guys.

braveclub, Thursday, 26 April 2007 17:24 (eighteen years ago)

Who says we're telling the truth, anyway? ;-)

Masonic Boom, Thursday, 26 April 2007 17:25 (eighteen years ago)

I predict that the "I'm rich, bitch" option will skew the results.

Fluffy Bear Hearts Rainbows, Thursday, 26 April 2007 18:51 (eighteen years ago)

I've just had to buy a car so now I have negative income and need to change my vote.

Ned Trifle II, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 10:59 (eighteen years ago)

seriously how the long do we have to wait for the results on this bitch

TOMBOT, Friday, 11 May 2007 18:01 (eighteen years ago)

Tuesday

Will M., Friday, 11 May 2007 20:42 (eighteen years ago)

People should give their polls much shorter lives. Otherwise they just drop off the new answers page.

Ms Misery, Friday, 11 May 2007 20:42 (eighteen years ago)

OR maybe have some kinda auto-bump when it ends? is that even possible?

gff, Friday, 11 May 2007 20:59 (eighteen years ago)

great now I'm the autobump man

g-kit, Tuesday, 15 May 2007 12:39 (eighteen years ago)

more than more than $110K 1210K 12

Who are these people and what do they do?

Ned Trifle II, Tuesday, 15 May 2007 12:52 (eighteen years ago)

Oh hang on - it's in dollars, so that's like a cleaners wages in the UK amirite?

Ned Trifle II, Tuesday, 15 May 2007 12:53 (eighteen years ago)

Should've been in a universal currency like... loaves of bread.

ledge, Tuesday, 15 May 2007 13:07 (eighteen years ago)

Except American bread is cheap and awful. Pints of milk then. Kilos of rice.

ledge, Tuesday, 15 May 2007 13:08 (eighteen years ago)

God, if my salary was in pounds I would buy a person.

HI DERE, Tuesday, 15 May 2007 13:09 (eighteen years ago)

Hold on, is this pre or post tax? I'm rrrreally curious who earns 95K or more!

I think it's a bit skewed cause I live in Europe so my income must seem a lot more to Americans.

nathalie, Tuesday, 15 May 2007 13:15 (eighteen years ago)

We need a histogram.
