Animal House, Blues Brothers, Beverly Hills Cop, Ghostbusters, etc, etc.
It's a bit of a cop-out, but who's keeping score by the end of movie anyway?

sexyDancer, Friday, 27 April 2007 15:44 (eighteen years ago)

"Hot Fuzz"

Mark G, Friday, 27 April 2007 15:47 (eighteen years ago)

I prefer all the good guys dying, thx

Dr Morbius, Friday, 27 April 2007 15:49 (eighteen years ago)

As long as there's an orgy of destruction, I'm not bothered who's perpetrating it.

Noodle Vague, Friday, 27 April 2007 15:51 (eighteen years ago)

I want to say Die Hard but those movies ARE orgies of destruction perpetuated by the good guys all the way through.

seven samurai vs ikiru

Frogman Henry, Friday, 27 April 2007 15:53 (eighteen years ago)

where does the Wild Bunch fit into this

Shakey Mo Collier, Friday, 27 April 2007 15:57 (eighteen years ago)

all bad guys

sexyDancer, Friday, 27 April 2007 15:57 (eighteen years ago)

except that "orgy of destruction" is a bit simplistic, isn't it? Destroying the tools of evil can be just fine. Where does Where Eagles Dare fit into this?

kingfish, Friday, 27 April 2007 16:01 (eighteen years ago)

they're pretty tight

M@tt He1ges0n, Friday, 27 April 2007 16:03 (eighteen years ago)

I think it depends on the movie and the nature of the "good" guys (which seems questionable in a number of the movies listed so far). I love 70s/80s teen rebel movies tho so Over the Edge/RnR High School-style teen destructo-rampage = a-okay with me

Shakey Mo Collier, Friday, 27 April 2007 18:11 (eighteen years ago)

CARRIE!

but yeah, those 70's-80's high school destructo flicks probably couldn't get made anymore post-school shootings... or am I forgetting something more recent?

chris, Friday, 27 April 2007 18:54 (eighteen years ago)

except they never really take it out on other students, its always about rebelling against the parents/teachers

Shakey Mo Collier, Friday, 27 April 2007 18:55 (eighteen years ago)

well, in heathers and carrie they did but those bitches deserved it...

chris, Friday, 27 April 2007 18:57 (eighteen years ago)

but carrie + christian slater aren't exactly "good guys" and yeah, it's an empty school that gets blown up/burned down in R&R High School + Over The Edge if I recall correctly
