Ah ha! I found my old rubber Jaffa Cake from twenty years ago. It has re-awakened in me the desire to visit Tam Shepherds joke shop and stock up on retro classics.

Is this a typically British thing? I know that rubber chickens and fake dog poo exist, but only because they're in supermarkets for about two weeks around carnival (see this for what it's about, more or less), but that's about it...

I don't know how prevelant these things are amongst even British kids today, but certainly when I was younger the joke shop took a fair amount of our pocket money.

I don't think stink bombs sell as well as they used to.

Schram and Shreddle/Preposterous presents is still there, it has survived the rise and fall of Granita. This pleases me.
