"we have corn but we have run out of the pops??"

I only eat popcorn at home, where I have access to a kitchen. I make popcorn the old-fashioned way, by pouring a bit of oil into a pot, dropping in a few kernals and putting the lid on, heating the pot on the stove until those test-kernals pop, then adding the remainder of the popcorn and agitating the pot vigorously until the popping ceases.
From the moment I decide to have some popcorn, to the time I am pouring the popped corn into a bowl usually takes me about 5 minutes. 5 minutes, people. 5 minutes!
This method makes delicious popcorn that is only about 10 times cheaper than buying microwave popcorn. I can use real butter, if I am so inclined, instead of that wretched chemical concoction the corporations put into microwave popcorn.
Just so you know. Carry on.

brown bagging in the microwave is just as cheap. basically, buying kernels is cheap.
the problem with popcorn on the stove, even though it's absolutely delicious, is it stinks up the house like oil.

stove popped tastes best
