MY TIVO IS DEAD! :(

no audio from my Tivo!

just had a trouble shooter confirm that the audio has died on my series 2 Tivo. I cried.

Called Tivo and my lifetime service is null unless I pay $149 to get a new recorder - not what I thought it was when I bought it. (cried some more)

Called Directv my provider they gave me 99 for box and then $5.99 a month for service. cried harder, then ordered.

anyone have any ideas? it's just that ....that I LOVED MY TIVO! It's not cost effective tho, if it dies every 2 years.

Does the DirecTV box offer the same search features as TiVo?

If Timi Yuro would be still alive, most other singers could shut up, Monday, 7 May 2007 00:26 (eighteen years ago)

well of course (not) Tivo is (was) very intuitive - although I had NO computer hook up to Tivo, I could still go to Tivo from any Web connection and tell it to record a program; DTV doesn't offer such a program.

My HD-DVR from Time Warner (and formerly Comcast) is in some ways superior to Tivo, and *much* cheaper.
