I agree, but one has to accept that that perception may not be an accurate or complete one. I think a little slack needs to be cut. This is why the name is at the bottom of the post. See also people misreading joke/emotion/sarcasm etc. behind a post.

The time spent googling up a cat picture and image bombing, vs. the time spent rolling your eyes and clicking the back button?

I learned my lesson the hard way. Because you don't just hit the person you're angry at, you hit everybody else who is trying to read the thread at the same time. And that makes you look like as much of a prick as the person you are angry with.
