YES! It's my favorite show since Twin Peaks. Can't wait for the new season to start.

Andy K, Thursday, 21 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I feel like I dupe saying I love all the HBO shows but they're all so much better than network crap.

Recently though (as I've only been able to watch the reruns over the last few months) SFU has surpassed the others to become my favorite.

The characters are just great.

Samantha, Thursday, 21 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

it has the girl from can't hardly wait in it therefore greatest television show in history.

ethan, Thursday, 21 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm not going to call it brilliant, because It's only been one season, but it's very well crafted and engaging and I've become addicted, so that counts for something. The Sopranos is better, but not by much, and Six Feet Under is far better than the ever-shrill Sex and The City

JM, Thursday, 21 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Sopranos is fantastic but I think SFU has surpassed in terms of my personal favorite. I like Sex in the City and have been watching it the longest but I don't think it can compare to those two in terms of quality. Oz is good but I'm not that into it.

N., Saturday, 23 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

She looks like she's trying out for a role in the next Wayne's World movie...

JM, Saturday, 23 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Anthony to thread! One of the characters is a devoutly religious gay man, negotiating attendant difficulties, etc. etc. Or at least the story about it I saw last night said. I don't have cable.

And yes, David has an enourmous amount of guilt.

one month passes...
i realised tonight how closely I identified with David - after he walked out on a one night stnd, and snapped at tsomeone who was trying to get close to him...

Sigh...now all I need is my own funeral business.

gygax! (gygax!), Monday, 10 March 2003 23:52 (twenty-three years ago)

i thought the second series lost it a bit - i just lost interest basically, things moved too slowly on the whole (Sopranoes seems to get round this by using more characters and story arcs) - plus it all ended on quite a downer (unlike the first series)

stevem (blueski), Monday, 10 March 2003 23:58 (twenty-three years ago)

I just watched the first season, and was pretty into it (though I would hardly say it's up to the Twin Peaks level, or the Sopranos, or Buffy for that matter). The season was pretty solid up until the last episode, which I thought was just terrible--real soap opera stuff. Anyone else feel the same way?

slutsky (slutsky), Tuesday, 11 March 2003 00:01 (twenty-three years ago)

Best. Show. Ever. But I'm missing the 3rd season due to no HBO. :(

That Girl (thatgirl), Tuesday, 11 March 2003 00:22 (twenty-three years ago)

Bf & I checked out the entire first season on DVD and loved it. We don't have HBO. NOw we have to wait for a long time until they release the next season.

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Tuesday, 11 March 2003 13:54 (twenty-three years ago)

six years pass...

My ex and I watched this show every night, I guess you could say that it was "our show". It got way too sad for me I was so emotional through the whole kidnapping thing that it was hard for me to watch an episode after that... I forgot which season that was but it was so sad.

Sunny River, Tuesday, 4 August 2009 03:41 (sixteen years ago)

three years pass...

just got to end of season two. this show is so harrowing at times.

brenda annoys me hugely though, with her shitty 90s tastes and chill out records.
