We've skirted around the issue of Pokemon far too much!...My destroys are: Magnemite, Voltorb and Mr Mime. Search: Squirtle, Ditto and Steelix.

search: the far superior digimon, whose coloring is fantastic enough to be listed on the color in art thread, and have SPARKLIES all over the backgrounds. makes pokemon look like the piss-poor hanna barbara piece of crap it is.

I am thinking about getting the newer Pokemon Game Boy Game, the one that takes place in JOHTO. Is it worth torturing my husband with?

Pokemon Gold - yeah it's good. It's quite similar to the Red/Blue games but the new stuff does work quite well and there are a lot more little bits of plot business going on rather than the fairly standard go to town fight team rocket stuff last time. My holiday leisure time was divided up as follows - 2 days pokemon, 2 days pynchon, 2 days both. Good fun.

BUT - the people who give you phone numbers are good because they call you when certain very rare pokémon are swarming, ie, Marill, Dunsparce and uh... fuck knows, some other ones. Marill is great! But a bit shite in a fight. Keep Anthony, I think he is the guy who calls you about Marill.

Pokémon Gold and Silver are defintely the next step on from Red/Blue. I'm quite excited about Pokémon Crystal, where for the first time you get to play a girl trainer! Yeah!! It's to G/S what Yellow was to R/B.

I'm currently pissed off with (in Silver): HootHoots, Geodudes and fucking DRAGONAIR cos he is taking yonks to evolve. Search: Chinchou/Lanturn, Mareep/Flaaffy/Ampharos. I like electric and water types.

Incidentally, my "starry" nickname doesn't come from the genderless Staryu.

Does anyone play the trading card games?

I'm currently stalking the legendary dogs (RAIKOU in particular) and trying to evolve that fuckin' Dragonair/Pidgeotto/Houndoom. Houndoom I must say, is kicking a lot of arse for such a recent catch.
