Kiwi dads sound pretty cool then. This is not lovely in the least, but my dad often called us little bastards (with love you understand) but with his South African accent it sounded like "little bossturds" and that kind of sticks out in my mind. Although not true in the strictest sense of the word, generally yes, yes we were complete bastards.
