Can anyone explain BR's Kansas City A's deal? For decades his official bio said that he'd been "drafted" by the team. Recently this was revealed to be false. Richardson claims he thought he was drafted because of some notation next to his photograph. I don't know much about Baseball, or what it means to be Drafted. Is it something that can be done to you without your knowledge?

I saw on CSPAN one of those "candid" meet-and-greets where a camera follows the candidate around a roomfull of party supporters. There was one of Bill Richardson kinda gladhanding with this one woman "Yeah, it's gonna be something else this winter up here! I'm from New Mexico, Yuk Yuk!" and the woman finally tells him "I'm the Speaker of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, btw." And B.R. was all O RLY?

Seems like you'd have some sort of dossier of important people to flip through before entering a room like that.
