LOWELL LIVES
Lowel Mather from "Wings" was many, many things -
Logical sometimes, but incredibly dumb.
He was a great plane mechanic, who would quickly panic
And his comedic timing made me laugh till I'd numb.
Whether shooting rats with cousin Bevo,
Or paying rent on a buried tuxedo,
Or living on a boat in Nantucket Sound -
He was clearly the force, a great slapstick source
That made that little airport go round.
There are so many things, and so many scenes,
That I still recall to get through the day.
Like the blimp he built (not a toy!)
That Joe quickly destroyed
That resulted in an increase in his pay.
But enough of the memories, this qualifies as an entry.
This choice was logical - anyone else would be crazy!
Without him the show died fast, and he'll always be badly typecast -
Does anyone remember "Ned and Stacy"?
Yeah, neither do I. Long Live Lowell...
