HI DERE, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:31 (eighteen years ago)

I am really sad no one else is repping *batteries not included it has JESSICA TANDY for christ's sake.

jessie monster, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:32 (eighteen years ago)

this is a battle between project x and real genius and project x wins on account of A) hundreds of chimps B) this ludicrious thing they are doing C) matthew broderick being better than val kilmer in general, but it is close mainly due to the pool party and the popcorn scenes in real genius.

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:32 (eighteen years ago)

tho fatty helen hunt <<<<<<< girl in real genius so that's another thing for me to consider.

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:32 (eighteen years ago)

no the goonies is not about the magic of science. it is about the magic of deformed men. xp

jessie monster, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:32 (eighteen years ago)

I MEAN THE CHIMPS THEY FLY A PLANE???!

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:33 (eighteen years ago)

(xpost and Goonies)

Curt1s Stephens, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:33 (eighteen years ago)

all these questions can be answered by starting your own fucking poll entitled TWEE ROBOT BULLSHIT

TOMBOT, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:33 (eighteen years ago)

Samski, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:34 (eighteen years ago)

Alan, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:34 (eighteen years ago)

Mr. Que, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:35 (eighteen years ago)

CRITERIA: Nerd movies for kids. Hence: THE GOONIES PWNS

HI DERE, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:35 (eighteen years ago)

hahahahah "it has joey pants" is the least convincing argument ever that a movie is not terrible

ghost rider, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:35 (eighteen years ago)

I never saw Project X but this promise of monkeys in intriguing.

jessie monster, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:35 (eighteen years ago)

jessie monster, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:36 (eighteen years ago)

YEAH YEAH YEAH GOONIES RULE

Mr. Que, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:36 (eighteen years ago)

It has Joey Pants, Corey Feldman, Short Round, Samwise Gamgee and indie star Martha Plympton!

HI DERE, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:36 (eighteen years ago)

Ed, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:36 (eighteen years ago)

NO^

Mr. Que, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:37 (eighteen years ago)

(All I know at this point is that I'm not voting for "Real Genius" because fuck Val Kilmer and I'm not voting for "Project X" because fuck a chimp.)

(I also now know that Ed is insane.)

HI DERE, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:37 (eighteen years ago)

Mr. Que, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:39 (eighteen years ago)

i refuse to vote in this poll until short circuit is an option

max, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:41 (eighteen years ago)

ALSO SHORT CIRCUIT 2 WHERE THE ROBOT BECOMES AN AMERICAN CITIZEN

max, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:41 (eighteen years ago)

he leaps into the air with joy after pledging to defend america or whatever! most positive movie ending ever.

max, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:41 (eighteen years ago)

Goonies is basically like a poorly executed film adaptation of a popular Young Adult Novel except said Young Adult Novel never existed, and if it had, everybody would love the book and absolutely despise the film. It's just really atrociously done.

TOMBOT, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:42 (eighteen years ago)

http://www.swapmeetdave.com/Humor/MilitaryBallotBox.jpg

Mr. Que, Thursday, 14 June 2007 14:42 (eighteen years ago)

latebloomer, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:35 (eighteen years ago)

nickalicious, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:36 (eighteen years ago)

ok. let's start a thread for that!

latebloomer, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:37 (eighteen years ago)

HEY IT SEEMS LIKE SOME OF THEM ARE CATCHING ON

TOMBOT, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:38 (eighteen years ago)

I love poll thursday!

jessie monster, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:38 (eighteen years ago)

michelle meyrink = original indie awkward hottness + dated crispin glover > U and your friends

bnw, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:43 (eighteen years ago)

Space Camp was great! The future Johnny Cash forms his only emotional bond to a frank welker-voiced droid! kelly preston is the valley girl! larry b. scott as the token black guy! tate donovan! Putting Huntsville, Alabama within a short driving distance to Cape Canaveral!

Hell, i went to Space Academy 4 years after this flick came out. I consider it job training for later getting my aerospace degree.

kingfish, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:49 (eighteen years ago)

what kind of an asshole grows up in Seattle and doesn't even know how to swim?

It has Joey Pants, Corey Feldman, Short Round, Samwise Gamgee and indie star Martha Plympton!

this was gonna be the worst movie ever til I hit Martha Plimpton

gabbneb, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:49 (eighteen years ago)

hey y'all don't forget:

http://pressthebuttons.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/wizard.jpg

latebloomer, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:51 (eighteen years ago)

jessie monster, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:52 (eighteen years ago)

nickalicious, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:52 (eighteen years ago)

The Wizard rules, guys

Curt1s Stephens, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:52 (eighteen years ago)

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:52 (eighteen years ago)

strongohulkington, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:53 (eighteen years ago)

all of the movies you guys are talking about suck the shit out of a leper's ass

all of the movies LISTED AS OPTIONS IN THIS POLL, THAT I MADE, FOR YOU TO VOTE ON, are orders of orders of magnitude magnitude better, in every possible dimension

TOMBOT, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:55 (eighteen years ago)

hey does anyone remember a movie called "D.A.R.Y.L." or something about a robot that becomes a real boy or some shit? and he hacks into an ATM and gives his new suburban family a lot of cash? and is good as baseball?

max, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:56 (eighteen years ago)

OMG YES

jessie monster, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:56 (eighteen years ago)

YEAH DARYL WAS LIKE SHORT CIRCUIT ONLY NOT FILMED AT YOUR SCHOOL

Mr. Que, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:56 (eighteen years ago)

HAY HAY BUDDY JUST BECAUSE YOUR SCHOOL ISNT THE FILMING SITE FOR SUCH CELLULOID CLASSICS AS "REAL GENIUS," "CLUELESS," "DON'T BE A MENACE TO SOUTH CENTRAL WHILE DRINKING YOUR JUICE IN THE HOOD," "ORANGE COUNTY" AND "THE WEST WING" DOESNT MEAN YOU HAVE TO GET ALL JEALOUS AND SHIT

max, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:58 (eighteen years ago)

In earlier drafts of the storyline, a Russian shuttle is sent up to rescue the American kids. At the end of the film, it was to be revealed that Russian kids had rescued the American kids.

kingfish, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:58 (eighteen years ago)

max can you please stay off this thread before I goad you into saying a racial slur and get you permabanned

TOMBOT, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:59 (eighteen years ago)

to summarize, max, shut up

TOMBOT, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:59 (eighteen years ago)

TOMBOT, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:59 (eighteen years ago)

I'll stay off your thread if you stay off mine

TOMBOT, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:59 (eighteen years ago)

hey TOMBOT what about Spaceballs

Mr. Que, Thursday, 14 June 2007 15:59 (eighteen years ago)

I voted for what I'm pretty sure is the only movie I've ever seen with a climactic finale that involves thousands of cubic feet of popcorn, but not just because of that, mostly because jesus Val Kilmer used to be SO DREAMY.

nickalicious, Thursday, 14 June 2007 16:00 (eighteen years ago)

HEY MAX DO YOU KNOW THE POPULAR WATERPARK DESTINATION "WATERLOO" FROM THE FAMOUS FILM "BILL & TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE"? THAT IS A PLACE CALLED "SUNSPLASH" IN PHOENIX, AZ AND I HAVE BEEN THERE LITERALLY 17,000,000 TIMES.

Hey so did San Dimas High School Football actually rule?

nickalicious, Thursday, 14 June 2007 16:02 (eighteen years ago)

it was ok. i don't think it really ruled.

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Thursday, 14 June 2007 16:03 (eighteen years ago)

it's not even really called "san dimas high" which is disappointing

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Thursday, 14 June 2007 16:03 (eighteen years ago)

jessie monster, Thursday, 14 June 2007 16:08 (eighteen years ago)

Dr Morbius, Thursday, 14 June 2007 16:16 (eighteen years ago)

perhaps you could start ANOTHER POLL for I dunno KEANU REEVES but at any rate we should be talking more about JEFF BRIDGES AS THE COMPUTER JESUS and not HISTORICAL ROMANCE FILMS

TOMBOT, Thursday, 14 June 2007 16:16 (eighteen years ago)

OK NERD NAZI I'LL TAKE THE BILL & TED TALK ELSEWHERE

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Thursday, 14 June 2007 16:16 (eighteen years ago)

I saw TRON when I was about 6 in the largest lecture hall at an engineering school, and then on the way home my friend's dad talked about what UNIX was.

dan m, Thursday, 14 June 2007 16:17 (eighteen years ago)

man I don't even know how you talk about what unix is without referencing win32 as a comparison

TOMBOT, Thursday, 14 June 2007 16:19 (eighteen years ago)

that's like talking about water before they invented dirt

TOMBOT, Thursday, 14 June 2007 16:19 (eighteen years ago)
