A lot of it is because many of these people get to wear uniforms/suits. A lot of the Lost crew would look 10x hotter in the same outfits.

I just started watching (on second episode of season 2) and I'm slightly amazed by no votes for #6! Impressive, this makes me feel good about the episodes I have not seen

I missed this, but I'm all about Roslyn. However, checking the other work that actress has done, I'm going to say it's about 80% due to lighting and the ass-kickery of her character.
