How come flights to Alaska from, for example, Seattle or Vancouver (yes, I know, it's in Canada) cost so goddam much? Does anyone know where to get the cheapest flights to Anchorage? Help is needed if my holiday plans for the summer are to survive!

Jonnie, you've been sold a pup if you're after sex tourism. They're all men and stink of fish.

N., Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm not Chris you know! Mmmm, pups.

Jonnie, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

use www.hotwire.com or www.travelone.com

cheap fares but they don't tell you the airline until you buy.

I AM NOT A SEX TOURIST.

chris, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Although this question interests me, with my possibly revised travel plans.

chris, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

That's exactly what a sex tourist would say.

Emma, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

really? oh good.

Donal Macintyre, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

wouldn't you know Emma: harlot of Milk

mike hanle y, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Chris' increasing desperation is most amusing to watch, I must say.

Ally C, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

hmph

chris, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Anyone have any suggestions as to what a harlot of milk might be?

Emma, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

So we've heard, Mike.

Graham, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Not sure what a harlot of milk is but I bet they have them in Thailand, eh Chris?

Jonnie, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Apparently you have them right here in snowy London too.

Emma, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

1) It's Alaska... far away from everything
2) It's Alaska Airlines (chances are)... more expensive than golden shit

Brian MacDonald, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm the only one who has posted to this bulletin board from the notorious Pat Pong district of Bangkok, and yet nobody calls me a sex tourist! It's not fair.

Momus, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ya want us to start a 'Momus = sex tourist?' thread, then?

Ned Raggett, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Will it put me on the Sex Tourist's Register and make my return to Britain impossible? Ooh goody!

Just don't tell Her Majesty's Moral Guardians that I was so disgusted by Pat Pong that I chose to spend my time there at a cybercafe writing to ILX rather than crusing for XXX.

Momus, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

We're the perverts of the mind, yay us.

Ned Raggett, Monday, 25 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Momus, it's places like PatPong that are currently putting me off going there, where would you recommend?

chris, Tuesday, 26 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah, right! ; )

Jonnie, Tuesday, 26 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

So, Nick, sex tourism nothing to do with that move to Japan, then? ;-p

Good morning,
I would like to know about the internal flights in U.S. How much costs a ticket from Washington D.C. to Chicago and back? Are the South West lines the cheapest? I'll be grateful for your help

Southwest is generally the cheapest, but not necessarily. Fares change wildly depending on travel dates, time of purchase, and other mysterious factors that seem to make no sense at all. Your best bet is to shop around on Travelocity, Orbitz, etc. and get a feel for how much things cost.

Revive because I specifically am looking at: How much costs a ticket from Washington D.C. to Chicago and back?

Anyone know of any good deals? It's too late for independence air. I would have done it in advance with them for cheap but this is a last-minute decision. Would train or bus be better at this point? (I have time for those.)

richardk (Richard K), Friday, 2 September 2005 20:40 (twenty years ago)

I'm almost certain S**thw*st would have flights BWI-Midway; that's probably your best bet for a cheap fare on short notice.

Jeff Wright (JeffW1858), Saturday, 3 September 2005 01:48 (twenty years ago)

If you're buying a ticket with less than 2 weeks notice- good luck. try http://www.cheaptickets.com or http://www.site59.com -they have ok last minute deals, but they're really to random places.

Also, whey you're buying last minute tickets, sometimes flight + hotel is cheaper than a flight alone, even if you never use the hotel room. So check those out, too.
