Just because Michael Philip Philip Philip philip Annoyman's got some dodgy tastes and opinions (even if they are put-on) doesn't mean we should ban him or lock every thread he starts (unless it's proper shite). BUT, sayign that, this place is NOT a free-speech forum, it's owned by people and maintained by people and the moderators are moderators for a reason and I will back their judgement to lock/delete/ban as they see fit.

acrobat, Friday, 15 June 2007 15:17 (eighteen years ago)

I give acrobat's last post three yellow cards

Dom Passantino, Friday, 15 June 2007 15:25 (eighteen years ago)

I honestly don't understand what I've done. Maybe I seem too enthusiastic, too verbose, too, oh FUCK IT I'm just being myself and if you lot can't deal with it then FUCK YOU ALL. I didn't come here to be abused by no-life webfreaks who can't stand it when someone shows a bit of genuine eloquence. I came here to talk about Graham Poll and perhaps indulge in a bit of harmless banter, and the ill-feeling is entirely of your own creation.

Michael Philip Philip Philip philip Annoyman, Friday, 15 June 2007 15:29 (eighteen years ago)

Dom, you really are a bitter old cunt.

acrobat, Friday, 15 June 2007 15:29 (eighteen years ago)

GEE I HOPE YOUR ANGRY DISMISSALS MAKE IT TO THE APPROPRIATE NOIZE TRIBUTE THREADS GUYS

Dom Passantino, Friday, 15 June 2007 15:31 (eighteen years ago)

that was very eloquently put, Dom. i agree with you on a lot of levels, but ultimately i think that just like in 'real life', a message board is based on hierarchy, and perhaps the smug types on here who put people down through reference to their knowledge of musical minutaie are trying to compensate for feeling relatively underappreciated in non-board related affairs.

acrobat, Friday, 15 June 2007 15:33 (eighteen years ago)

"I don't understand how this could happen to Graham Poll. Graham Poll's a genius, and very good in bed, I hear. I just don't understand. I mean, Graham Poll. I'm Graham Poll, aren't I? If I am, I don't understand how it happened to me because if it did and if I am, then I'm a genius, because I'm Graham Poll. Yes, Graham Poll. Can't say I've ever met him, but I'm aware of his genius. I can't understand how it can happen to him, after 15,000,000 games of football, all refereed magnificently, to then have that happen; it's unbelievable really. If I was Graham Poll I wouldn't believe it. And I am Graham Poll, although we've not met. Genius though, Graham Poll."

Scik Mouthy, Friday, 15 June 2007 15:34 (eighteen years ago)

I got banned for another Internet forum for posting a satire of Graham Polls' media coverage, and a Facebook group I was in entitled 'If 10,000 people join this group, I'll let Graham Poll referee my Oxbridge 5 aside tournemant' was deleted by the FB admin. Despite this war on free speech, I still think the tasteless ones are the grief merchants forcing this man's life down our throats, compelling us to carry the sympathy card and thus earn cheap points, whilst simultaneously digging into a complete non-story (there has been no further news since the bust up with Mourniho) with quite terrifying fervour. The Poll himself isn't helping, with his self-promotion 'tour' around Europe, The Vatican and North Africa to raise awareness for their probably long-decomposed career/his own maudlin plight.

Moreover, instead of closing out the story when they got bored of it, the media softened the blow by resurrecting their trustiest old standard...Diana!

Sorry 2 b hartless :(

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.

ILX System, Saturday, 16 June 2007 23:01 (eighteen years ago)

what the hell happened here

Curt1s Stephens, Sunday, 17 June 2007 02:24 (eighteen years ago)

The best thread ever, that's what

Michael Philip Philip Philip philip Annoyman, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:05 (eighteen years ago)

i'm very confused.

darraghmac, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:08 (eighteen years ago)

surprisingly good turnout

blueski, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:08 (eighteen years ago)

I'm uncomfortable with the notion of blueski having the final say (no offence intended blueski). If Michael Philip Philip Philip philip Annoyman, or his equivalent, was to insult a non referee poster, my guess is he'd be banned pretty fucking quickly. Even if the poster on the receiving end of the insult said "let him stay". It's not just the guy being insulted that has a right to be offended.
Dunno, I think this sets a precedent here and we should maybe talk a bit more about it. I'm hugely, hugely uncomfortable with any situation in which someone uses this kind of insult on ILX and gets away with it.

The fact that Michael Philip Philip Philip philip Annoyman is an odious little shitbag who no one at all would miss if he were to suddenly disappear is neither here nor there.

acrobat, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:10 (eighteen years ago)

i missed this whole beef :(

That one guy that quit, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:13 (eighteen years ago)

i am well offended

blueski, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:14 (eighteen years ago)

what's the skinny? we need a wiki for this rly.

That one guy that quit, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:17 (eighteen years ago)

I must have lost my sense of humour, because acrobat is coming across a right tedious cunt right now.

Michael Philip Philip Philip philip Annoyman, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:17 (eighteen years ago)

i dont think calling someone fatty is bad it was playful like the way jonathan ross calls people tubby. like i had NO intention of it becoming an actual real flamewar or anything. maybe i was out of line but Michael Philip Philip Philip philip Annoyman took it THERE. its not like i was calling him a fatty fat fatass or anything. tubby is pretty affectionate actually.

acrobat, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:21 (eighteen years ago)

don't you have a belt to make?

Dom Passantino, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:23 (eighteen years ago)

This is the same acrobat who goes crying like a mummy's boy to the mods if anyone so much as breathes on his precious Bernard's Watch thread without being vetted by his little friends, is it?

Michael Philip Philip Philip philip Annoyman, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:23 (eighteen years ago)

is MPPPpA a fattey?

That one guy that quit, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:24 (eighteen years ago)

i dunno who i'm siding with yet.

That one guy that quit, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:24 (eighteen years ago)

none of you are fit to lace pogatetz boots

blueski, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:25 (eighteen years ago)

MPPPpA is trying really fucking hard to cut down his salt intake and get 30 mins of exercise a day, OK? OK?

More like that mong guy that's shit

Michael Philip Philip Philip philip Annoyman, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:25 (eighteen years ago)

please explain this thread, and what the hell this insult was. can't see it but am morbidly curious.

darraghmac, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:26 (eighteen years ago)

oh you did not want to do that

That one guy that quit, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:27 (eighteen years ago)

can't believe some people, just have to stick their oar in.

blueski, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:27 (eighteen years ago)

darraghmac, it's called Gmail. You can look up the date when e-mails were sent.

Dom Passantino, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:28 (eighteen years ago)

Why's so much attention placed on me re: fatty while Michael Philip Philip Philip philip Annoyman has elicited only one critical comment with what hesaid darraghmac: perhaps the innocuousness of the word for you is a cultural UK/US thing -- I remember recently flipping through the channels and landing on PBS which was airing some Dame Judi Dench sitcom where one of the characters casually used that word.

acrobat, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:28 (eighteen years ago)

leaving out Deep Graham was probably a mistake. apparently they were calling Deep Graham Deep Graham and then Graham just kind of emerged from that. these labels are way out of date really but that's the point you cretins.

blueski, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:37 (eighteen years ago)

Fuck off acrobat. Enjoy wallowing in your anger, ignorance and hatred. You waste. You little man.

Michael Philip Philip Philip philip Annoyman, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:40 (eighteen years ago)

Listen to me Michael Philip Philip Philip philip Annoyman, you little piece of stale tramp jizz... OF COURSE I fucking fancied her you twat, I was a straight teenaged boy!!! If I come back as a gay teenaged boy in the next life I'll be sure and let you know if I fancy Graham Poll as well.

Now, matey, if I simply judged football by whom I fancied then I'd be out there watching Marianne Spacey, Karen Walker, Faye White and fucking Rachel Unitt, but that just aint so. So keep your dipshit opinions where they belong: in your diary.

I don't dislike Graham Poll either - if you'd read my posts you realise I like him a great deal, fab descions and all. I just happen to think Pierluigi Collina has a lot in common with him, and produced BETTER decsions.

Case closed. Now go drown yourself in a bath full of goat wank.

acrobat, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:46 (eighteen years ago)

Ugh. I just wish W1ll14m B Swyg4rt was here to filet your rather indulgent tendency toward the opaque and verbose.

Michael Philip Philip Philip philip Annoyman, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:57 (eighteen years ago)

take her, dude.

Curt1s Stephens, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 14:59 (eighteen years ago)

I must admit, Curt1s Stephens, the way people get all heated and bad-tempered about stuff here sometimes, and the way ppl dogpile on this or that poster really gets me down. I guess a lot of ppl must like it that way, otherwise they wouldn't participate in it (and plenty of ppl do, even if only some of the time) or they'd complain about it more often, or everyone would fukc off somewhere else and the place would become a desert, like T-G-S board did last year, but I really don't understand why ppl would spend valuable minutes of their life, that they'll never get back, feeling angry w/the computer!

acrobat, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 15:01 (eighteen years ago)

hur hur stupid brits

blueski, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 15:03 (eighteen years ago)

Acrobat is the equivalent of graffiti and petty vandalism. It's not the worst thing in the world, a victimles crime maybe, but it makes the place less fun to be, gives it a nasty, antisocial edge, and pisses people off. Soon ILE will be a sprawling virtual sink estate, populated only by the lowest dregs of society.

Are you capable of anything even resembling a unique thought, or can you only regurgitate the simplest ILX memes in your desperate attempt to fit into the pack? Go ahead, say it: "Markelby memorial thread ."

acrobat, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 15:14 (eighteen years ago)

"darraghmac, it's called Gmail. You can look up the date when e-mails were sent."

sounds great i'll sign up for one of them.

It's a Gong Show thing. You overplayed your schtick. God knows I do it often enough. Posting a shitty picture of roadrunner to this thread, purely to witter to yourself, snapped my patience. And there's the difference, I think. Most people on here engage in dialogue, one way or another. If you wanna do performance art, you can easily find your own space.
