I <3 the pulp.

Drooone, Monday, 18 June 2007 06:32 (eighteen years ago)

Urgh, pulp, NO NO NO. What is wrong with you.
Mildura Sunrise is the best OJ. I can't get enough of that stuff.

Drooone, Monday, 18 June 2007 06:36 (eighteen years ago)

gr8080, Monday, 18 June 2007 06:52 (eighteen years ago)

That's the only time I can handle pulp, when it's squeezed at home, with lots of ice.

Hard like armour, Monday, 18 June 2007 06:55 (eighteen years ago)

I rarely use my juicer anymore. :-(

nathalie, Monday, 18 June 2007 07:13 (eighteen years ago)

this thing rules (it only works with citrus, so no melons):

http://kitchen.cookery-guide.info/images/content/brands/braun-juicer.jpg

it has a way to set how much pulp you want, supposedly, but in my experience this setting is for PR purposes only

Tracer Hand, Monday, 18 June 2007 08:17 (eighteen years ago)

if i had to vote on pure premium, though, i would have to say NO PULP. because i can't shake the feeling that the pulp is somehow separated, dehydrated, saved in a cardboard box somewhere, and then added afterwards

ken c, Monday, 18 June 2007 08:25 (eighteen years ago)

latebloomer, Monday, 18 June 2007 08:31 (eighteen years ago)

hstencil, Monday, 18 June 2007 08:34 (eighteen years ago)

Drooone, Monday, 18 June 2007 09:11 (eighteen years ago)

sunny successor, Monday, 18 June 2007 12:58 (eighteen years ago)

GROVESTAND

river wolf, Monday, 18 June 2007 13:01 (eighteen years ago)

Ideally, lots of pulp (Grovestand) + calcium and vitamin E. But this is not widely available, and when given the choice, the pulp is more important than the added nutrients (which I get from my soy milk and multivitamin, anyway).

jaymc, Monday, 18 June 2007 13:07 (eighteen years ago)

low acid in the mornings because my stomach hates me, otherwise I'm good with anything pretty much

Curt1s Stephens, Monday, 18 June 2007 13:16 (eighteen years ago)

well yeah it's orange juice

river wolf, Monday, 18 June 2007 13:17 (eighteen years ago)

I can't drink citrus anymore as it gives horrible heartburn. When I could though, I loved grapefruit juice.

Ms Misery, Monday, 18 June 2007 13:59 (eighteen years ago)

Pulpy to the point of being all-pulp.

Jesse, Monday, 18 June 2007 14:01 (eighteen years ago)

Spoonful of pulp is all I'd need. But I don't really drink OJ on its own anymore.

Casuistry, Monday, 18 June 2007 14:09 (eighteen years ago)

No pulp, and I'm a little embarassed. It seems like cutting the crusts off your sandwich as a kid.

Jordan, Monday, 18 June 2007 14:11 (eighteen years ago)

frozen & concentrated

elmo argonaut, Monday, 18 June 2007 14:13 (eighteen years ago)

I've met people who prefer their orange juice slightly watered down. Has anyone else seen this bizarre phenomenon?

mfleming, Monday, 18 June 2007 14:27 (eighteen years ago)

Yup. It's understandable (lowers the acid attack).

Casuistry, Monday, 18 June 2007 14:29 (eighteen years ago)

the bits of pulp are the best thing about orange juice

my sister and i used to come to blows over this when little, because she hated the bits

lex pretend, Monday, 18 June 2007 14:29 (eighteen years ago)

I strained my OJ as a kid.

Jordan, Monday, 18 June 2007 14:32 (eighteen years ago)

yeah, youve got to water kids juice down or they get runny poops

sunny successor, Monday, 18 June 2007 14:38 (eighteen years ago)

sunny successor, Monday, 18 June 2007 14:38 (eighteen years ago)

i keep reading this thread title as a vindictive and triumphant reply to some crestfallen oj enthusiast: "how do you like your orange juice NOW, motherf*cker??"

Tracer Hand, Monday, 18 June 2007 14:39 (eighteen years ago)

It has to be low-acid these days, probably due to my diet back when I was poor, poor, poor, which consisted of coffee, cigarettes, and about a half gallon of orange or pineapple juice a day. It's no wonder why I have reflux problems at 28.

OJ "on the rocks" is a remarkable combination.

kingkongvsgodzilla, Monday, 18 June 2007 14:50 (eighteen years ago)

OJ w/High Life

Jordan, Monday, 18 June 2007 14:51 (eighteen years ago)

(is a remarkable combination)

Jordan, Monday, 18 June 2007 14:51 (eighteen years ago)

pulp. but i water mine down.

Alan, Monday, 18 June 2007 14:51 (eighteen years ago)

pulpy juice is not ideal for mixing drinks with.

Tracer Hand, Monday, 18 June 2007 14:53 (eighteen years ago)

Jordan sometimes I feel like we should start an online support group or something for High Life mimosa enthusiasts.

nickalicious, Monday, 18 June 2007 14:56 (eighteen years ago)

/pours drink on nickalicious' head

how do you like your high life mimosa NOW?

Tracer Hand, Monday, 18 June 2007 15:21 (eighteen years ago)

xxpost well then don't mix drinks with it!! But for drinking straight up, Some Pulp is the best. Grovestand is too much, No Pulp is not enough; HOMESTYLE REIGNS SUPREME

Stevie D, Monday, 18 June 2007 15:25 (eighteen years ago)

I wonder how many people read this titel as "Is your orange juice good?" rater than "Which type of orange juice do you prefer?"

Stevie D, Monday, 18 June 2007 15:26 (eighteen years ago)

yuk, pulp in orange is so unrefreshing.

Ste, Monday, 18 June 2007 15:29 (eighteen years ago)

Summertime Fried Chicken & High Life Mimosa Bar

Jordan, Monday, 18 June 2007 15:33 (eighteen years ago)

I like it so pulpy I can't even really call it orange juice so much as orange puree.

nickalicious, Monday, 18 June 2007 15:38 (eighteen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

hstencil, Friday, 22 June 2007 03:28 (eighteen years ago)

Ditto. I had no idea Some Pulp was the least popular outta the three :-( Boo!! I bought two half gallons today at the store though and so far, half of one is gone.

Stevie D, Friday, 22 June 2007 03:36 (eighteen years ago)

i'm a total grovestand guy tho.

hstencil, Friday, 22 June 2007 03:39 (eighteen years ago)

i dont like the idea of orange water, and my dishwasher isnt efficient enough to handle the consequences of "lots of pulp"
