"I'm hoping to get a job as a professional movie reviewer, but I don't know what's going to happen with that. I guess you could say I'm at some kind of crossroads right now."

(FF2 was dopey fun, I thought.)

David R., Wednesday, 20 June 2007 16:49 (eighteen years ago)

Somewhat sucky, sure, but it's really hard to feel too bad for him: there's absolutely no way he hadn't signed some kind of agreement not to talk about the screening. I wonder if he was just blatantly non-anonymous on there, or if they actually tracked him down.

nabisco, Wednesday, 20 June 2007 17:34 (eighteen years ago)

"Some entertainment companies, including film productions, do ask workers to sign confidentiality agreements, agreeing not to disclose information. Morrison said he had never been asked to sign such an agreement, though he would have if asked.

"If they had sat me down and told me that this has caused such a stink and that we would like you to sign some waiver, I probably would have signed it," Morrison said.

Tashie said: "In the future, anybody in that position will sign something."

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Wednesday, 20 June 2007 17:35 (eighteen years ago)

Oh shit, I R bad reader!

If they never gave him a confidentiality agreement ... well, he's probably in no position to get into a big legal thing about it, but I'd say he was TOTALLY wrongfully terminated. (Crossroads or no, he's young and in school, and losing this job probably isn't that huge of a deal.)

nabisco, Wednesday, 20 June 2007 17:54 (eighteen years ago)

Yeah you get the impression bossdudes are kinda kicking themselves that they didn't have legal backup on this.
