PC Computer Help Question - Why can I no longer see andy file info when I hover over, say, an MP3?

I am finding this super hard to Google for some reason.

My laptop (Windows) used to be set so that when I hovered over an MP3 file (on my desktop, or in a folder, etc.), a little box popped up that told me the Title, Artist, Size, and most importantly, Bitrate of the track.

Suddenly, this stopped happening - now when I hover over files the box pops up but only tells me the File Type and Size.

I figured this could be fixed in the Control Panel in Folder Options or something, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Any ideas?

Is it the 'view' option in Windows Explorer? If you have the files in icon, tiles, list or thumbnail format the hovering works. If you have the files in details mode, the hovering doesn't appear.

not true in winxp sp2, i see mp3 info pop up on "details" view on hover

Thanks a million - this is perfect. Don't know what happened originally to remove this feature from my computer, but this is even better than it was. Thanks a lot.
