x = 4 wins for being actually how this city works

El Tomboto, Tuesday, 26 June 2007 23:29 (eighteen years ago)

"the NSA doesn't allow the use of 2 for sensitive work."
"the GSA contract for 2's is priced out of our program's budget, so we're substituting."
"2 doesn't come with a five year support plan from the vendor."
"2 is kind of seen as partisan right now."

El Tomboto, Tuesday, 26 June 2007 23:31 (eighteen years ago)

These are all as painfully unfunny as anything on the batshit thread.

otm

Curt1s Stephens, Tuesday, 26 June 2007 23:37 (eighteen years ago)

they are editorial cartoons, yes.

El Tomboto, Tuesday, 26 June 2007 23:37 (eighteen years ago)

I like the pleasantly cartoony style of #8

kingfish, Tuesday, 26 June 2007 23:38 (eighteen years ago)

Most of them don't seem to be aiming for "funny," though.

"Excavating Truth" seems like the most concise and elegant of them -- just a good, simple, powerful visual summary of the gist of the whole thing.

nabisco, Tuesday, 26 June 2007 23:39 (eighteen years ago)

"Mis-Information" is kinda the same deal, and major points for the face on that politician, but it just doesn't have as much punch.

nabisco, Tuesday, 26 June 2007 23:40 (eighteen years ago)

x = 4 is clever, the rest are meh

Curt1s Stephens, Tuesday, 26 June 2007 23:42 (eighteen years ago)

worst = 9

ledge, Tuesday, 26 June 2007 23:46 (eighteen years ago)

yeah poor man's tom tomorrow there

El Tomboto, Tuesday, 26 June 2007 23:50 (eighteen years ago)

They really are kind of painful, which is too damn bad, because this is probably the most important issue overall these days.

Oilyrags, Tuesday, 26 June 2007 23:51 (eighteen years ago)

#7 brushes closest to a tasteless BSRW cartoon

Curt1s Stephens, Tuesday, 26 June 2007 23:56 (eighteen years ago)

not that asbestos victims don't deserve honor and respect obv.

Curt1s Stephens, Tuesday, 26 June 2007 23:58 (eighteen years ago)

I don't get the x=4 one, I feel stupid :(

Trayce, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 01:08 (eighteen years ago)

The bureaucracy has dictated that the obvious, correct answer is against policy, so the math is left to be nonsensical and useless. But in accordance with policy, which is the important thing.

Oilyrags, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 01:10 (eighteen years ago)

Oh so theres nothing more to it? How... dry.

Trayce, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 01:20 (eighteen years ago)

#1 is the only ha ha funny one

Heave Ho, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 01:30 (eighteen years ago)

ILX System, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 23:01 (eighteen years ago)
