im not gay and i read the vanity fair article. he doesnt like her smoking. they're so fucked up and living in a total fantasy world. when he introduces her to people he says "look at her she was up 100 pounds last year" and she just laughs like a witch.

I think we need at least six or seven more threads about Liza Minelli. I just got cable tv, and saw part of that Michael Jackson tribute thing, and she was on; when she sang, only one half of her mouth moved, like she's had a stroke or something. Did she always look like this? Anyway, blech.

Peter Allen's a dead Aussie feller, if I'm not mistaken, Chris. I'll have to check my old copies of After Dark. It's probably not the same person. He was a cheesy cabaret artist in the 70s and 80s, his big hit was "When My Baby Smiles at Me I Go to Rio". He would break out the maraccas and do this queeny cha cha dance in the middle of the song. He so ultra-cheesy, even I don't like him.

Liza's great, though. She's a FREAK. Lots of straight people I know (well, three or four) like her for that very reason. She's so gushy and amped and fake in the most considerate, lovable Hollywood manner. Her rock album, The Singer, featuring covers of "You're So Vain" and "Dancing in the Moonlight" and Bill Withers "Use Me" is pretty good.
