Seems like the winners are mainly from high population good for nothing countries with good internet access and lots of nationalism

I find Christ the Redeemer a little tacky. Chichen Itza and Machu Picchu are ok, but not in my top 7.

So I'd replace those 3 with:

Acropolis
Angkor Wat
I guess the statue of liberty?

the problem is that they arent tacky enough. like my seven would include cowboy joe at vegas, nash's folly at brighton, the neon in shibuya, those postmodern space age offce towers in shanghai, and that bavarian castle

apparently the first list was a gimmick for tourists but still I think a "wonder of the world" should be undeniable enough that it could not lose in a silly popularity context. if there is not enough around of them to make a top 7 list then people should just wait a couple of more hundred years .
