Kinda difficult to say right now, as I'm having one of those "ah hell, worst evah!" migraines and feel like throwing up, but on the whole I'd say pretty darn happy. 8 maybe? yep about that.

I was forcing myself to be upbeat by choosing five. I imagine most the time I'm hovering between three or four. 65-70% miserable = me.

I'm about a 7 I guess. Although, I very rarely have extended periods of time where I'm in the 8-9 range, while I do have extended periods where I'm in the 2-5 range. So I probably should have put 5.

I said 4, but actually since my good news last week it's been a step or more up from that. Before I got the news, it was probably lower.

My "happiness level" looks kind of like the guy above #4 ("hurts little more"): confused and kind of looking off to the side at some interesting insect rather than whoever's talking to me.

i think the problem with that scale, for me, is that it really should move down, like the minor scale of a major scale. See, the #4 face should be above the #0 choice and on up from there. In which case I would pick #2, cuz even small hurts tend to hurt a lot.

Yeah, considering 8 would be the pain of say getting your leg ripped off, that is one stoic little cartoon face.

4. Careerwise and love-life wise pretty fucked, but I have my health and no-one I care about has any serious problems.

was tempted to go for 6, went for 8 in the end. will probably regret doing that

I was going to put 7, then I realized I was doing that not-wanting-to-admit-you're-unhappy thing, so I picked 6. But I'm still doing it, and also I'm in an unusually good mood because I had a great run.

7 - my days can swing wildly from incredibly happy to extremely frustrated depending on the moods and behavior of my kids. But overall, more toward the happy end of the spectrum.

i do the not wanting to admit thing all the time...
