If this continues I might have to do some work.
― Ned Trifle II, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 11:37 (nineteen years ago)
Doing work is exactly what I'm doing. :-(
― Masonic Boom, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 11:38 (nineteen years ago)
Don't tell me Ned - you've clicked the "Hide Polls" option too, right?
― Marcello Carlin, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 11:49 (nineteen years ago)
It's all the same if he had!

I'm working like buggery at the moment. The only reason I'm here at the moment is because I'm eating a jacket potato and I don't want to get baked bean juice all over my files.

And here I go.

Actually I found quite a few interesting but I had nothing interesting to contribute (not that that usually stops me).
A time of quiet reflection on ILX...nothing wrong with that.
― Ned Trifle II, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 12:45 (nineteen years ago)
Time for a MO-MENT of reflection, as my bus puts it.
― Marcello Carlin, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 12:47 (nineteen years ago)
Well it's a personal taste thing, I took a lengthy break, and now it's kinda hard to work up the enthusiasm to dive back in.
― Matt, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 13:06 (nineteen years ago)
Matt otm
― Ste, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 13:15 (nineteen years ago)
I was asleep until 2pm today. Not that I ever say much anyway.
― emil.y, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 13:39 (nineteen years ago)
I told myself I would get to work at 9 and am disappointed by what ILx has had to offer in this time of allowed naughtiness.
I have so much work right now and so little motivation. It's not a good combination.

That's pretty cool El Cyberinvestigator.
I want your job. The only place my job sends me is SXSW. And that's not even in a different city. :/
― Ms Misery, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 14:02 (nineteen years ago)
i've been googling for veronica mars gossip mostly. sadly ilx didn't have much to offer. i read the plot of s2 until i list interest (at about ep 15, i think) but doubt that this will be the case when i actually watch it.

Matt otm, was thinking that there were no interesting threads this morning but then assumed it was just me. There aren't even any threads about anything.
― Ronan, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 14:38 (nineteen years ago)
I always feel slightly lazy when I think this as I should start something interesting instead of just complaining. But then I'm just too lazy.
― Ms Misery, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 14:41 (nineteen years ago)
I was receiving mandatory Vista training at work the last two days. Will be back later in the week
― StanM, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 14:53 (nineteen years ago)
It's 11 and I've only just got to work. My boss is in Tanzania and my supervisor is out sick so there really isn't even any reason for me to be at work. I should have stayed home.
― ENBB, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 14:55 (nineteen years ago)
My boss is still on vacation and my co-worker is out. This would be prime not come to work time. Unfortunately I have a lot of stuff to do. SUCKAGE!
― Ms Misery, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 14:56 (nineteen years ago)
Oh, starting interesing threads, why not?
There's a statue proposed for Hamburg, celebrating the Beatles involvement. John, Paul, George, Ringo and poor old Stu.
I started a thread "Pete Best, what's on yr i-pod"
God, it's slow. Things. It's like ILX2 is closed and we're all actually on ILX3.
― Mark G, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 15:06 (nineteen years ago)
I've been busy playing my guitar working hard today.

BTW Ed I met the estonian version of you. Right down to the hair and the color selection. slightly less chunky glasses. oh and he works for the state, I guess that's a bit off as well. Probably not quite the kitchen blaster either. OK just the hair and the beard and the outfit. Still though.
― El Tomboto, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 15:13 (nineteen years ago)
you should try and fap with that tiit dude, he gives the impression of being awesome.
― blueski, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 15:31 (nineteen years ago)
They should also put up a statue of Alex Harvey in Hamburg; he was there for twice as long as the Beatles.

O El Tomboto O! you don't have a spare copy ov teh ILX comp with you, now do you!?
(And my TV is on the very edge of another break-black-out-down, or rather virtually over said verge already, so that's why I'm on this thread)
― t**t, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 17:06 (nineteen years ago)
I'm vaguely here.
I seem to have lost the ability to not really say anything in an affable manner on as many threads as possible. Oh well, I am planning my escape from the world of work back to academia. I don't think my request to reduce my hours by a third will go down too well, too bad.
― jel --, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 17:41 (nineteen years ago)
I'm still here, just either really busy with work or away from my computer for long periods of time. Also, I'm not particularly interested in reading any of the threads right now.

― stevienixed, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 21:02 (nineteen years ago)
I spent most of yesterday writing music, so I wasn't really lookin' at ILX that much. I'm trying to keep myself distracted from certain other frustrating events.
― Trayce, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 22:20 (nineteen years ago)

― Trayce, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 22:42 (nineteen years ago)
I was in Tahoe for July 4th, but now I'm north of Reno. Wildfires!
Oh that's not what this thread is about at all... Well, if the lightning knocks out the power, or if the fire overtakes us, then I won't be on ILX for those reasons.
― Kerm, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 23:48 (nineteen years ago)
I went outside to check on the fire and saw a coyote instead.

TAHOE IN IDAHO????
― Abbott, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 00:18 (nineteen years ago)
I just love when people acknowledge the existence of Idaho.
― Abbott, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 00:21 (nineteen years ago)
Lake Tahoe... Incline Village, Nevada. Never been to Idaho. It looked interesting when I flew over it two weeks ago, though.
― Kerm, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 00:23 (nineteen years ago)
Interesting meaning "a deserty hellhole riddled with uncontrollable noxious weeds and huge fields of cooled lava that are otherworldly igneous hells"? OR did you actually fly over the pretty parts w/forests, canyons, rivers, waterfalls, etc.?
― Abbott, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 00:25 (nineteen years ago)
The stuff you see flying from Atlanta to Portland.
Taken just east of Lowman, Idaho, looking northeast. The light spot near the center of the frame is located at 44° 7'49.74"N 115°16'31.07"W

Facebook, real-life issues and very little desire to read about other people on the interweb, even obliquely.
― suzy, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 11:45 (nineteen years ago)

― Alan, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 11:55 (nineteen years ago)
OMG, Kerm - I remember seeing that (or landscape very similar) when I flew from Upstate NY to PDX - I have a drawing of it in my sketchbook. FLying over the continental divide is great.
― Masonic Boom, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 12:04 (nineteen years ago)
After I got off the plane, I told my Oregon-native roommate that I wanted to check out Idaho and got the "deserty hellhole... noxious weeds... igneous hells" response. That's a lot of hellishness. Hell's Canyon is on the way, too. Sounds like fun to me.
― Kerm, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 14:29 (nineteen years ago)
ILx be so boring.
