I'm in. I hate choosing an initial team before the start of the season: all the players who were good the season before have massively increased in value and you have no idea what the new signings are going to be like. This time last year I was convinced that Bellamy and McCarthy was the dream ticket to striking success. This year I wanted Berbatov, but Spurs have got so many strikers you just don't know who's going to play. Foolishly I've got no Liverpool or Chelsea players and I've built my team around a Reading backbone.

Berbatov will definitely start the majority of games. I've got a feeling about Tuncay at Middlesborough this year as well.

OK. I'm in. I can't possibly do worse than last year.

I will try to do better

My autocomplete team's quite good which may lull me into complacency as to actually changing it.

I am saddened by Bosko Balaban only being at number 8 on that list.

I'm in. Is it wise to not choose any Liverpool players? I expect Rafa to rotate far too much again and i'm clearly relying on my expensive strikeforce.

it's a tricky one, especially as he tends to chop and change quite so much. 15 players that never leave the pitch unless their legs are hanging off may be better than someone who scores every time he plays, but only plays once every three weeks...

also is it just me or have we picked up a couple of randoms in our league?

It won't let you pick Tevez outright - you have to siphon off some of your transfer budget to a shady Iranian website in order to get him on an expensive extended loan deal.

Mr Raif's team looks very handy: great frontline plus Malouda and Ronaldo in midfield. I might just change my entire team so it's the same as his.

Hmph. I was pretty happy with my 73 points until I looked at the table and saw that the four above me and the six below all equalled or bettered it.
