and is there even a point?

Delete Louis Jagger from your friends list

Dom Passantino, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 11:59 (eighteen years ago)

jokes, bruv

Dom Passantino, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 12:01 (eighteen years ago)

I barely see the point of the real Facebook. What, one more online thing to keep track of? Enough. I'm cutting back my internet profile, not increasing.

Masonic Boom, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 12:05 (eighteen years ago)

Well, I deleted my MySpace account because of that (but also because it's just a horrendous coded beast as well). I don't know how to get into my Friendster account, haven't checked that in ages. The only places I seel to visit these days are ILX, FB, IMDB, TMZ and google for Veronica Mars gossip.

nathalie, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 12:23 (eighteen years ago)

Facebook Veronica Mars Viewer

blueski, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 12:23 (eighteen years ago)

Add Lolcats to your profile.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 12:27 (eighteen years ago)

- At a glance calendar for week/month showing what both you and friends are up to

- Rate random facebook person photo out of 10

- Daily opinion polls

- 'To'do list

- Quick URL bookmarks/favourite sites of the moment menu

- For Sale - offer unwanted stuff to friends

these probably all exist already i haven't looked

blueski, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 12:28 (eighteen years ago)

"Add Lolcats to your profile" already catered for. srsly.

Alan, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 12:29 (eighteen years ago)

there are indeed FB apps for all those things. i was specifically wondering about ILX related things. all i can think of is:

your ILX bookmarked threads - with * indicating updated threads

Alan, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 12:31 (eighteen years ago)

could randomly css-bomb yr profile page, then whinge abt being blocked.

That one guy that hit it and quit it, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 12:45 (eighteen years ago)

It could start a Pazz and Jop poll on your homepage daily.

Dom Passantino, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 12:46 (eighteen years ago)

could deny users use of mini-feeds on grounds that we can all trust facebook to so what's best for us

That one guy that hit it and quit it, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 12:46 (eighteen years ago)

It could have MS

Dom Passantino, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 12:51 (eighteen years ago)

Stevem, I'm already part of Hello, I'm a Veronica Mars addict group.

nathalie, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 12:52 (eighteen years ago)

OK, that's over the line, even for Dom.

Masonic Boom, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 12:55 (eighteen years ago)

ROLLING STATSCOCK UPDATE

HI DERE, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 12:55 (eighteen years ago)

It should kick racists out of Facebook for you, and then send you a message where it proudly informs you that it's kicked a racist out of Facebook.

Dom Passantino, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 13:00 (eighteen years ago)

Whatever it does, make sure it does it in as self-important a manner as possible!

HI DERE, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 13:06 (eighteen years ago)

It starts shitty list threads on your homepage which you then end up contributing to anyway.

Dom Passantino, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 13:07 (eighteen years ago)

Updates yr news feed when you ask a question/start a poll
Shows you yr bookmarks and their updates
Um...

stet, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 13:41 (eighteen years ago)

Well, I deleted my MySpace account because of that (but also because it's just a horrendous coded beast as well). I don't know how to get into my Friendster account, haven't checked that in ages. The only places I visit these days are ILX, FB, IMDB Netflix, TMZ Pink is the New Blog and google for Veronica Mars Harry Potter gossip.

MySpace just got waaay too junior high for me.

Ms Misery, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 13:48 (eighteen years ago)

I want one that makes everyone a virtual mod so they can have their own little 'fake ILX' based on the real one on any given day, and just go in and ban and delete anyone whenever they feel like it.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 13:55 (eighteen years ago)

there's something we've been meaning to tell you...

Alan, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 13:56 (eighteen years ago)

haha Sam, you/I rule! :-)

nathalie, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 13:56 (eighteen years ago)

Great minds think alike. :)

libcrypt, Monday, 24 March 2008 18:28 (seventeen years ago)

That's gonna be its downfall.

roxymuzak, Monday, 24 March 2008 18:30 (seventeen years ago)

At least LinkedIn updates have something vaguely useful to tell me.

libcrypt, Monday, 24 March 2008 18:32 (seventeen years ago)

linkedin is atrocious

El Tomboto, Monday, 24 March 2008 18:33 (seventeen years ago)

Catsupppppppppppppp dude 茄蕃, Monday, 24 March 2008 19:15 (seventeen years ago)

2 friend requests
1 event invitation
2 knighthood invitations
19 other requests

Not 1, but 2 knighthood requests? what is all this?

tehresa, Monday, 24 March 2008 19:16 (seventeen years ago)

you guys should look into privacy settings. i have to imagine that you can limit app requests

J0rdan S., Monday, 24 March 2008 19:17 (seventeen years ago)

Maybe "block this application" should have a "Form a facebook group to protest some minor annoyance of facebook apps" link next to it!

Catsupppppppppppppp dude 茄蕃, Monday, 24 March 2008 19:42 (seventeen years ago)

ya dudes it's overkill but 'block this app' not hard to push

friendfeed is kinda cool.

everyone roll your eyes @ hoos now.

DG, Monday, 24 March 2008 21:10 (seventeen years ago)

one month passes...

Is there a facebook hack or app that hijacks your friends profiles and has them send marketing instant messages to you? I got a suspicious-sounding message about Pandora.com from a friend and when I responded he didn't respond back.

Hurting 2, Friday, 9 May 2008 16:22 (seventeen years ago)

oh lord

Catsupppppppppppppp dude 茄蕃, Friday, 9 May 2008 16:28 (seventeen years ago)

Nicholas

Hey, go check out Pandora.com, I think you'll appreciate it...

its an internet radio site, with kind've a cool twist.

...

WTF?

Hurting 2, Friday, 9 May 2008 16:32 (seventeen years ago)

"kind've"?

s1ocki, Friday, 9 May 2008 17:57 (seventeen years ago)

yeah, and this guy is an extremely articulate Math Ph. D student.

Hurting 2, Friday, 9 May 2008 17:58 (seventeen years ago)

I wrote back "Nick, are you working for a stealth marketing firm?" -- and there was no answer.

Hurting 2, Friday, 9 May 2008 17:59 (seventeen years ago)

yeah hurting there's shit like this happening now-- you're friend is pretty lucky as pandora is a pretty tame thing to have your hijacked profile be spamming people with

J0rdan S., Friday, 9 May 2008 18:00 (seventeen years ago)

#1 reason to not ad any apps or anything tho im not totally sure if that's how it happens

J0rdan S., Friday, 9 May 2008 18:00 (seventeen years ago)

Brian apologizes if he sent you a sleazy link. He got facebook spammed. Deleting it allows it to spread.12:51am

J0rdan S., Friday, 9 May 2008 18:01 (seventeen years ago)

"kind've"?

It's Alex in NYC.

jaymc, Friday, 9 May 2008 18:04 (seventeen years ago)

It was strange, because the day before he had sent me a suspicious sounding message about Who Has the Biggest Brain, but then when I wrote to him about it he wrote back.

Hurting 2, Friday, 9 May 2008 18:05 (seventeen years ago)

Uh, so who DID have the biggest brain?

Ned Raggett, Friday, 9 May 2008 18:05 (seventeen years ago)

maybe he's just a weirdo

J0rdan S., Friday, 9 May 2008 18:06 (seventeen years ago)
