Tents - S&D?

I'm not much of a camper but the way things are festival wise etc. this summer I thought that I'd better get a good one that could be used again and again. So are there any campers here? If so, could you recommend a good two person tent with some kind of 'hall' space that is waterproof and fairly good against the wind. I don't know if that's a lot to ask, is it? Help!

Accept no substitutes.

I bought my tent from my local outdoors place for £40. It's got a reasonable space to sleep in (confortably fits two, and I mean a big two, a mate and me and both 6ft+ and fitted confortably) and that space again as a porch, which I half-uncovered so I don't have to do the whole "get waterproofs off before you get in the tent" thing. Hardy as well - got me through Glasto at least.

In tent-speak, that 'hall space' is called a vestibule.

You could do worse than to consider buying this one. REI tents are generally well-made, durable and well-designed.

It would be a definite step up from the K-Mart or WalMart bargain tents that are designed for kids sleeping in the backyard, because the REI tent is designed for use in the wilderness, where a tent failure is much more serious business than in a backyard.

REI tents are also easy to set up, in the dark and during/after drinking, which depending on your camping/festival-ing style can be critical.

Coleman tents seem pretty well made and they are discounted frequently at Big 5 (and probably elsewhere).

Thanks all. Thinking of http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/5023518579122 this one. Kenan's has potential but would be a bugger to carry!

Ours is a Gelert Lokon Vario 4 - lots of space for dressing/preparing food etc.

Great luxury of camping is a tent you can 'live in' - being able to stand up inside makes all the difference.
