You know, close-ups, characters straight out of a (good) comic book, gritty violence, good jokes, a heartbreaking sense of melancholia (preferably involving dead relatives and/or the end of an era), great landscape shots. If the guy doing the score is ripping off Morricone that'd be great too.
I'm not talking spaghetti westerns here specifically (especially cuz most of the ones I've seen don't really seem to have anything *to do* with Leone, apart from being westerns and having some of the same actors; the stuff I've seen can't even be called *bad* Leone rip-offs, because it's quite clearly not trying to make anything resembling a Leone film), all genres and countries are welcome - and don't be afraid of mentioning something obvious, either.

The walk from the Israeli army checkpoint to the Wall outside Bethlehem felt like something from a spaghetti western, though is perhaps not what you are thinking of.
