how do you conquer familiarity with yourself?

ethan, Thursday, 28 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

eat your brain

mike hanle y, Thursday, 28 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

You mean you want to be more familiar with yourself or you want to rid yourself of this familiarity?

For the first I would suggest just spending lots of "quality" time by yourself. Find what you like, do what you like, don't see other people. Write lots of poetry. I dunno, something of that sort.

For the ladder I am thinking getting terribly drunk or just changing.

actual real answer: NEW PEOPLE ethan, who will reach in and find unexplored dimensions to you

sorry that is a bit hippy but it is true nevertheless

ethan, Thursday, 28 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

personally, i don't find it a problem because i don't know myself much better than i know anyone else.

di, Thursday, 28 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

which is to say, how can anyone be totally familiar with themselves anyway?

di, Thursday, 28 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Cry and cry and cry, and then you will get bored of crying and feeling sorry because you're bored with yourself and go do something interesting.

one year passes...
is contempt for others a healthy thing, or does it reflect badly on yourself?

Millar (Millar), Sunday, 27 July 2003 16:58 (twenty-two years ago)

No offense, but that's sad, Millar.

Orbit (Orbit), Sunday, 27 July 2003 17:41 (twenty-two years ago)

it's also a lie

Millar (Millar), Sunday, 27 July 2003 17:48 (twenty-two years ago)

But that's sad too!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 27 July 2003 17:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Millar is doing PsyOps on us, Ned.

Orbit (Orbit), Sunday, 27 July 2003 19:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 27 July 2003 20:21 (twenty-two years ago)

I tried breeding contempt once, but couldn't get the emotions to mate.

Matt (Matt), Sunday, 27 July 2003 20:26 (twenty-two years ago)

going back to the question, i think *contempt* breeds contempt.

Orbit (Orbit), Sunday, 27 July 2003 23:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Orbit (Orbit), Sunday, 27 July 2003 23:50 (twenty-two years ago)
