I accidentally left some quarters in my pocket today(for meters of course. fuck you santa monica!!!) and it they waited until I was in a quiet hallway to start jangling. they made me sound like an idiot. yes, they did. who carries pocket change anymore? if I took the metro I'd get a change holder.

Does this thread only cover active pocket change, or pocket change that's been unpocketed as well?

I actively dislike pocket change. And, as a result, wind up with it all the time. ie Since I refuse to carry it, I never have change when I need it and therefore wind up with 90 cents if something comes out to $5.10 or whatever. It all winds up being deposited in the big change bowl on my desk and, ultimately, pays off when it comes to doing laundry and/or cashing it in at a coinstar or the bank.

xpost mostly active change. oh i got nothing against coins. I already have a shitload of keys so when the coins join in it's just out of control. and i dress on the formal side of business casual which makes me look all the more incongruous and ULTIMATELY, UNWELCOME.

xpost i have one of those little coin sorters at home which came in handy when banks actually processed the coin rolls. I forget what happened last time but they said technically they still do it but i would have to UNROLL them and count them or something ridiculous, basically "fuck off with your coins"
