The day's almost over here and I'm hanging out chatting with my friend B and havin' a drink and relaxing! And it is very cold.

I slept 13 hours last night, very hazy today, everything's a bit of a blur

This bit of Oxfordshire is not too wet but the road to my work is underwater, so I am sitting at home working hoping that work won't reopen this afternoon because I haven't actually managed to do anything useful in my week of "working from home". Mind you, if it does reopen I don't think the buses have restarted, so I'm probably not going anywhere. (Yesterday's news had shots of my bus stop and "shock horror, West/South Oxford latest victim of surprise late flood" as if Botley Rd hadn't been closed since Friday.)

That pub looks v familiar but you are safe from e-stalking as I can't place it.

My boss is on holiday so I am balancing natural desire to slack with having to juggle about 57 different tasks. I might drink a beer this evening.

That's it really. My week life is not terribly exciting at the moment.

It's been raining constantly in Cardiff since I woke up this morning, and it's getting worse. This is what Cathedral Road looked like 10 minutes ago (hope this link works, I got wet taking the photo):

I've got to walk into town to buy a birthday card at lunchtime, I haven't got a jacket or umbrella so I'll have to wear my fluorescent yellow site coat, but at least it'll keep me dry.

I'm bored out of my mind in work, I hate my co-workers more and more by the second. I've spent most of the morning writing cheat sheets for Pro Evolution Soccer 5 and obsessively checking ilx and gmail every few minutes.

I got irritated by Chanelle on Big Brother this morning, got told off by my wife for being too rough with the cat, strolled into work half an hour late, and I'll probably leave half an hour early.

Fixing loads & loads of broken bikes and vacuum cleaners. It is v v boring.

Today, I am mostly accidentally sending an email in which I bitch about the inefficiency of a production co-ordinator TO said production co-ordinator ;_; Worst of all, I am actually the one who's at fault and it looks like I'm trying to pin the blame on her.

I walked down the street pictured above this morning too. It was about two hours earlier but looked pretty much the same. I am eating an avocado and listening to Need New Body. My legs hurt because I played football last night and then walked across town and back again.

Well this morning was spent getting up etc. etc. No change there. Am at work, will process some Reserves material and otherwise be looking at some manuals that need revising and the like with plenty of mental breaks on here. And listening to music of course. And doubtless playing Scrabble on Facebook.

Tonight my very good friend Stripey and the inestimable Jaq from these parts and I will have dinner at the Avanti Cafe. Rah!

My university inbox just reached 9000 emails. Talk is cheap.

i went to work in the morning, then took the afternoon off. had lunch and a couple of drinks at a bar, looked (unsuccessfully) in a couple of bookshops, came home. have been fiddling around on the turntables for the last couple of hours while no-one else was home. not a bad day, all told.

I'm in Wisconsin, at my in-laws' house. It is rainy!

This is my last "real" full day at work. I went to buy fabric for a suit, it did not work. I am grouchy and contemplating another coffee. Tonight I am picking up packing boxes ang going home to an insane mess of a house. The San Francisco weather is rather chilly as is typical for this time of year.

i was v v warm today and in front of computer and then i went food shopping for a while b/c the stores i went to are air-conditioned and then i can home and ate vanilla ice cream and my body temp went down and now i am happy

where do i live where it's not too hot, not too cold, not rainy all the time, not a hueg city, not west-coast canada (done it), has good food markets, interesting people. i am leaning towards prague/brno but wld have to shot eu status :/
