The ILX needs more representatives from these parts of the world:

I really wish there were Alaskan ILXors so I could ask them all my questions about life in the state with a flag designed by a 12-year-old boy.

Any other nominees?

Maybe there's some kind of "AskAnAlaskan" forum.

Abbott, Tuesday, 31 July 2007 21:58 (eighteen years ago)

Normal, Illinois.

Surmounter, Tuesday, 31 July 2007 21:58 (eighteen years ago)

Wyoming and Cameroon.

Abbott, Tuesday, 31 July 2007 22:01 (eighteen years ago)

Having some park rangers around here would be neat.

Abbott, Tuesday, 31 July 2007 22:02 (eighteen years ago)

I always think it's lacking in French.

Alba, Tuesday, 31 July 2007 22:03 (eighteen years ago)

Is ILX banned in China?

Alba, Tuesday, 31 July 2007 22:04 (eighteen years ago)

I went to high school about 20 minutes outside Normal, Illinois - does that count?

the red panda

jhøshea, Tuesday, 31 July 2007 22:16 (eighteen years ago)

Yah, French would be nice. Fortunately I have an ex-France neighbor who I can ask "is this France stereotype true" questions. ie:

Me: Is it true French people really like Jerry Lewis:
Her: Oh god fucking yes. Do they ever. *rolls eyes and imitates self-inducing vomiting*

Mexico! Hawaii. New Hampshire. Inside the Pentagon. From a 200-ft yacht.

wanko ergo sum, Tuesday, 31 July 2007 22:19 (eighteen years ago)

I thought there were already some ILXors in France:

Surmounter, Tuesday, 31 July 2007 22:21 (eighteen years ago)

Abbott, Tuesday, 31 July 2007 22:21 (eighteen years ago)

The ILX Frappr map should be updated.

jaymc, Tuesday, 31 July 2007 22:22 (eighteen years ago)

I hated my high school, it was full of developmentally stunted jocks who thought they were cowboys for living in a farm town. Very, very annoying. Normal wasn't too bad though, I spent most of my time there and far far away from the high school crowd.

My family is/has been all up in Normal. I like how its reputation is somehow vastly different from Bloomington's.

nabisco, Tuesday, 31 July 2007 22:42 (eighteen years ago)

Hawaii.

We've got Hawaiians! gr8080 and Super Cub among them.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 31 July 2007 22:44 (eighteen years ago)

KAREN HUGHES: Suddenly, after all the chaos of the convention, we're clickity-clackiting across rural America, seeing the occasional cow, and on the second day, we're coming into the station in this little Illinois town, and the conductor was very proud to have us on his train and he came over and very proudly announced, 'Ladies and gentlemen, we're ten minutes from Normal, ten minutes from normal.' And at the time, I turned to a friend in the staff car and said, 'If I ever write a book, that's the title because that's exactly how I feel about this whole amazing experience.'

jaymc, Tuesday, 31 July 2007 22:46 (eighteen years ago)

Didn't know. People should rep they block more often on ILX. 828/W. N.C.! xp

Not Goa though.

Drooone, Wednesday, 1 August 2007 01:30 (eighteen years ago)

Oh, whoops, did I include Goa? That's a mistake. Not too keen on communicating with the shitty people of Goa.

iiiijjjj, Wednesday, 1 August 2007 01:32 (eighteen years ago)

Or the shitty hippies vacationing there.

abbott i was in alaska for almost a week in 2004 so i know pretty much everything about it.

max, Wednesday, 1 August 2007 02:38 (eighteen years ago)

I am friends with a Park Ranger, and even an Alaskan, but in my experience, you can lead a horse to ILX but you can't make him post.

Beth Parker, Wednesday, 1 August 2007 02:40 (eighteen years ago)

"I know you'd love ilx it's so funny there are pictures of coochies and lotsa lotsa inside jokes and if you posted i could be like, 'hey people this is my irl friend wow!'"

never works

jergïns, Wednesday, 1 August 2007 02:48 (eighteen years ago)

Haha, I've tried that. "Please, please...then we could talk even more online and about the online. How many conversations can we have about Achewood before the topic is depleted?"

(Answer: hours & hours worth)
