I found him unspeakably delicious in McCabe & Mrs Miller. Less so in Choose Me.

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Wednesday, 8 August 2007 17:14 (eighteen years ago)

No option for "Material Girl" no credibility.

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 8 August 2007 17:16 (eighteen years ago)

Well shit...

C. Grisso/McCain, Wednesday, 8 August 2007 17:17 (eighteen years ago)

McCabe & Mrs. Miller is the best movie on this list, but I can't really remember him. He's quite good in Nashville, Thieves Like Us and The Long Riders.

Alex in SF, Wednesday, 8 August 2007 17:18 (eighteen years ago)

he's the blond cutie who's blown away on the bridge.

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Wednesday, 8 August 2007 17:19 (eighteen years ago)

Oh that's right. That's a pretty small part.

Alex in SF, Wednesday, 8 August 2007 17:20 (eighteen years ago)

^after fucking Shelley Duvall in the ho'house.

He's a very compelling, smoldering presence in those Alan Rudolph films, esp Choose Me and The Moderns. He has a few more colors in Thieves Like Us than Nashville, I think.

And he was great in those first episodes of Deadwood.

Dr Morbius, Wednesday, 8 August 2007 17:21 (eighteen years ago)

oh, The Moderns! Still my favorite Rudolph film. Is that even out on DVD?

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Wednesday, 8 August 2007 17:24 (eighteen years ago)

'tis.

Dr Morbius, Wednesday, 8 August 2007 17:26 (eighteen years ago)

I got all excited about voting for Death Race 2000, and then realized that this isn't a poll about David Carradine ;_;

John Justen, Wednesday, 8 August 2007 17:28 (eighteen years ago)

no, it's about the Carradine who's too good an actor to excite Tarantino.

Dr Morbius, Wednesday, 8 August 2007 17:31 (eighteen years ago)

David's not a bad actor though. He's had his moments.

Alex in SF, Wednesday, 8 August 2007 17:32 (eighteen years ago)

What a strong-boned family.

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Wednesday, 8 August 2007 17:32 (eighteen years ago)

Hahah well except for Robert.

Alex in SF, Wednesday, 8 August 2007 17:34 (eighteen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

ILX System, Monday, 13 August 2007 23:01 (eighteen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.

ILX System, Tuesday, 14 August 2007 23:01 (eighteen years ago)

Haha wow people just don't care.

Alex in SF, Tuesday, 14 August 2007 23:54 (eighteen years ago)

NO ONE APPRECIATES FINE BONES

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Tuesday, 14 August 2007 23:57 (eighteen years ago)

THEY'LL BE SORRY
Anyone up for a John Carradine poll? Robert? DAVID?

Matt #2, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 00:01 (eighteen years ago)

Can't we vote?

Trouble in Mind.

Eazy, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 00:48 (eighteen years ago)

if he'd been in Kill Bill, they'd care.

Dr Morbius, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 13:12 (eighteen years ago)

I completely missed this thread. I probably would have gone for Deadwood, but only because I've been rewatching it over the last few weeks.

Gukbe, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 14:13 (eighteen years ago)

I quite enjoyed him in Ballad of a Sad Cafe. And Alfred otm, he was v delicious in Mccabe.

When he showed up on Deadwood I thought I would pass out from swooning. So great!

I didn't intend for this clip to be of shirtless Keith but *shrug* it's what the internets wanted to give me so... :D

I must have missed this too. Can't remember what I'd actually seen by 2007. Would vote Deadwood today but he's always a plus.

da croupier, Wednesday, 8 August 2012 17:24 (thirteen years ago)

five years pass...

I saw him with Alan Rudolph at NY screenings the last couple nights; seems to be a very gracious man. Getting good reviews for the new Rudolph film Ray Meets Helen.
