I'm accompanying my wife to Beaufort NC next week. She's gotta work during the day...I get to hang out. I'll have a car. What should I check out?

oh Beaufort. I'm not sure how close you are, but the ferry to Ocracoke is always good. Also Nags Head/Kill Devil Hill and Roanoke (Lost Colony woo-eee-ooo). The Outer Banks are easily the best part of NC. :D

"kill devil hills" was source of my proudest trivial pursuit moment as a teenager - the question was, where did the wright brothers make their historic flight? "kill devil hills" i answered; "nope" came the reply; the card was turned over to reveal "kitty hawk" - "but the card is WRONG!!!" i protested. actually come to think of it, nobody believed me and i lost my turn

I once answered "Fenway Park" as the oldest baseball park still in use, and my opponent was all Nope! It's Tiger Field!

EVEN THOUGH THEY DON'T PLAY THERE ANYMORE.

I liked Wilmington, Wrightsville Beaches. I took a picture of the end of I-40 for my records.
