I feel like there are a ton of self help books about money and love because they are basically the two things everyone wants the most.
Are there any books out there that are actually credible and contain truly useful information?

I wouldn't trust any "self-help" book about money, self-help in quotes meaning any book like Rich Dad, Poor Dad or The Secret or Rich Fucks Get Rich or anything that makes grandiose promises to let you in on the secrets of wealth for only $19.95.
There are plenty of perfectly fine books about personal finance. I bought Personal Finance for Dummies a few years ago and have found it helpful to refer to from time to time.
