He's awesome, but that particular movie blows.
― milo z, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 00:17 (eighteen years ago)
Yeah he's in some stinky films..
― W4LTER, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 00:19 (eighteen years ago)
Do we have a "Why do British movies suck" thread?
― milo z, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 00:19 (eighteen years ago)
why are 'british' films shit?
^^^that?
― W4LTER, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 00:21 (eighteen years ago)
Yes, exactly that.
Paddy should get all the choice roles that Cillian Murphy has had. Wouldn't Paddy have been the perfect evil doctor in Batman? Much scarier than Mr. Cheekbones while trying to kill Rachel McAdams?

love him in hot fuzz
― Frogman Henry, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 00:25 (eighteen years ago)
Yeah he was too funny in that movie.
― W4LTER, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 00:26 (eighteen years ago)
The other week, a friend and I went to the video store and were looking for a shitty movie, he wanted to get "Backwoods", I refused coz it looked atrocious. He got it out later and said it was one of the worst movies he's seen. And this is from a dued who has love for Mr. S. Seagal.

― jabba hands, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 00:43 (eighteen years ago)

― W4LTER, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 00:45 (eighteen years ago)
a tony scott remake would totally rule though
― ☪, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 01:07 (eighteen years ago)
Tony Scott could remake anything and it would rule.

First saw him in 'My Wrongs...', then straight after in 'In America' - him and Sam Morton make such a great, sweaty Irish couple.

he is great.

'my summer of love' was great.
― That one guy that hit it and quit it, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 08:50 (eighteen years ago)
Yeah, My Summer of Love is a good 'un. I first saw him in No Room For Romeo Brass, which is still prob my favourite of his performances. Dead Man's Shoes is, of course, great. And he's the second best thing in Stoned, after the Swedish girl.

and let's not forget his Rob Gretton!
― Mark G, Wednesday, 15 August 2007 09:00 (eighteen years ago)
In DMS you expect him to explode into violence at any moment but you get the same vibe of him as Gretton which was great. And of course he does finally lose it, hilariously, over the 30 grand table.

'the last resort' is good too -- also shows he doesn't have to be a brooding psycho.
